Saw the thread on Joe's weekend plans and it got me to thinking … what is this board's expectations of a sitting President and how many hours they "work"? I realize this should be "fluid" based upon what is happening so for parameter's sake let's hear your thoughts on …

"Peace-time" =
Times of "Tension" =

You can answer this question yourself if you've ever been in a management position. There is always something

If he ain't tweeting on the toilet at 3:30 a.m. he ain't worth a damn.

You get elected president, it's a 24/7 365 deal.... even when you ain't at work, you better be working. Hell, that's the life of 90% of entrepreneurs anyway - why should the president be different?

126 hours/week all the time

At least this is what DJT did, and we didn't have times of tension or WW3.

I own a small business with 26 employees. I would be willing to bet that I have worked more hours per week than Brandon each and every week since he took office.

LBJ would work two shifts a day. 7:00 AM-2:00 PM and then back at 4:00 PM-9:00 PM.

Jimmy Carter said he could sleep in and be rested or he could rise early and be president.

Joe likes to sleep in

I expect him to crap his drawers about 3 times a day on average, 2 times on good days and 4-5 times on bad days when he eats too many prunes

Let's just remember how often they put a lid on him during the campaign. There is no reason to believe he's any more active now than he was then.

I remember when SNL had Will Ferrell doing GWB and gave this quote. It's how I envision Biden working.

" I'm gonna be around for a long time. On the job, making the tough decisions 24/7. That's 24 hours a week, 7 months a year."

Being funny?

Trump took far more executive time (i.e. watching tv) than the previous few Presidents, even the Democrats. I doubt that Biden is any better than Trump.

Don't believe me? Take a look. Their daily schedules are public info.

President Bush had the reputation of being a real workhorse. He was at it from early morning to late evening. Sure, he took some time for exercise and other ordinary things, but had a real work ethic. Obama kept busy, too, but probably not as busy as Bush.

This isn't really a big criticism of Trump. Any President in their 70s is likely to be far less productive than a President in their 50s even if he is in excellent shape. That said, President Reagan kept a pretty solid schedule even if it was a shorter workday than most younger Presidents.

But the hero worship of the cult claiming all kinds of great things for Trump is hard to understand.

That's because being president isn't that hard for someone that's worked a real job. Look at the guys that get the job, other than Trump which one of them has ever worked a real job?

Surely you are not dumb enough to think being out of office in 2016-2020 meant trump wasn't working.

The complaint here is that Biden appears to be sleeping and watching golden girls when he is out of media's grip.

Biden has sent Kamala twice to Europe during this crisis. That says it all in my opinion. He should be taking a lot more criticism for this alone. This is a time for POTUS to be leading and going overseas himself, not his VP.

Thank you for providing a real answer.

Apparently, the rest of you are retired seeing as how you're posting on TexAgs instead of working 24/7 365.

P.S. I voted for Trump so let's not derail the thread by bashing Biden anymore. We get it… Biden is a crappy President.

I would expect POTUS to work an average of 55 hours/week in addition to being on call Saturday and Sunday.

Imagine if our President really did his job as the lead Sales Rep for the United States.

Spent most of his time taking foreign leaders to lunch, dinner, sporting events and other "entertainment" and occasionally wound up with some charges on his AMEX that he couldn't get past the expense checkers.

If the President does a great job and hits his sales targets, he makes Club.

That's how it ought to work.

Sometimes we could give him special performance incentives to hit specific sales objectives like - Infrastructure (actual infrastructure, not racism), or Immigration, or Military, etc.

Bill O'Reilly posts Biden's schedule everyday. Biden literally has nothing scheduled half the time and he spends most weekends in Delaware.

He is likely the laziest president in history.

That is a win when you consider the alternatives.

Biden has one job - stay alive.
If he kicks the bucket and that laughing hyena takes over... I don't even want to think about it.

I care far more about the quality of a decision than the time spent making it.

That said - the Biden* admin is failing dramatically by my preferred metric as well.

I still don't get it. Why are folks so afraid of Kamala? They're both puppets, so what wouldn't an even more off-putting puppet be good for us (more likely to trip up their anti-American agenda)?

Because, she gets even less respect on the world stage than Biden.

No one respects a woman who sleeps to the top. Period.
