I am always in favor of heckling, whether at Aggie baseball games or ridiculous SOTU addresses. Sometimes it's the highlight of the event, especially when witty.
An irreplaceable treasure.vansprinkle said:DallasAg 94 said:

That was incredible
Rumor is Jill and Kamala hate each other. I bet behind the scenes, the Democrats hate each other. They're more power hungry than republicans and that causes way more animosity between them. Its like how Nazi's and Soviets only cared about moving up in the regime.Tom Doniphon said:Spotted Ag said:
It's refreshing. People need to be called on their BS. This entire charade of decorum is moronic. I would likely be kicked out of congress if I was ever elected due to my inability to play the "my friend from whatever state" game.
Every single democrat up there deserves to be left on an island in the Antarctic.
Problem is that they are friends... they put on shows about "we're gonna stop them, blah blah blah" and then go out for drinks together after they give their bases the red meat they crave. I bet 90% of them get along fine and laugh their asses off together at the fun little shell game they've mastered.

If the current Speaker of the House can't even behave during a SOTU (Pelosi ripping up speech)…then how can you expect the rest of Congress to show decorum?
It is what it is.

I guess the days of expecting Republicans to be the adults in the room are now gone.
Kind of like how the CM's have with Biden's character as they screech about the character of Republicans that speak out against him.Agthatbuilds said:Gigem314 said:

As long as the democrats keep lying... so yes, yes it will be the norm.hoopla said:
Will heckling be the norm at State of the Union addresses?

It'd be better if the SOTU went back to what it was before Wilson insisted on the pomp befitting an emperor. It's just a cheerleading spectacle at this point with no real substance.

best comment buried in the SOTU thread was the poster who said "Pelosi must be sitting on a steely Dan".Rockdoc said:BQ_90 said:
yes please, stop the heckling so we can get back to the pre-arranged standing ovations that happen on que during the address.
It's all theater, there isn't one single purpose of the SOTU other than propaganda for both sides.
Yep. I think Nancy had a spring on her ass last night.
And Pelosi tearing up a copy of Trumps SOTU address in plain view was a sign of being an adult.coupland boy said:

I can see it now…and it would be glorious.
Isn't that why we have a response from the opposing party after the STU? Heckling during the address is asinine and makes the hecklers look like spoiled children.Spotted Ag said:
