Anybody remember Bob Crane?
It looks like someone beat the crap out of him.aggiehawg said:The number of discreet injuries to different parts of the skull, suggests otherwise.Captain Positivity said:
They are suing because they don't want photographs of his dead body being passed around. I think that's a pretty legitimate concern.
There were no illegal drugs in his system. No sign of foul play.
I agree. It is a stretch to say that he fell, suffered a basal skull fracture, and then "went to bed".FireAg said:Fair enough...but you agree that he was dead immediately after impact, which is typical of that type of injury, or best case, they are knocked cold and die where their body falls after losing consciousness...stetson said:
Earnhardt's basal skull fracture was caused by contact with the steering wheel. The impact to his car at the 5 o'clock point moved him rearward and right and placing him out of position prior to hitting the wall. He wore the old school helmets that were rounded in the back and had modified the way his seat belt anchored for comfort. When he hit the wall, the seal belt sheared and he moved full forward, striking the base of his skull on the steering wheel.
I'm not aware of anyone who had a sever basal skull fracture injury that resulted in death where they were ever ambulatory after that type of injury...so how did he get to the bed and find a way to lay down peacefully?
I heard on the radio that it looked like he got hit by a bat.FireAg said:That's a lot of head trauma for slip/fall in the bathroom...aggiehawg said:

I'm not trying to school you of all people, I'm just trying to share some perspective with the board. Most people get to turn off the 10pm news each night and go to bed but some of us don't have that option. We live it all day.
I can only imagine had his accident occurred now what the coverage would be. I didn't identify his body as his brother lived in the town where the accident occurred. Pursuant to his stated wishes, he was cremated. I never saw him dead. So my memories of him don't have that included.
The next week when my brother was killed, however, it was an open casket and a very drawn out and elaborate three day funeral. By the time we were graveside it was late in the day. For some reason they had opened the casket at the graveside. The last memory I have is of the sun behind the casket and that shadow slowly crossing his face for the last time. I absolutely hate that memory. And that was just a week after my husband's death.

Agree in general but one of the only things government should do is investigate and prosecute real crimes. That said, criminal investigations are confidential too.et98 said:
If you think it's appropriate to use government force to reveal someone's private information, you are not a small-government conservative.

Weird.
Rapier108 assured us all he died from the Covid vaccine. I guess maybe somebody beat him with a vial of it or something.

The recent news conflicts the first reports of his death... did the cover-up start immediately?
Trauma isn't always visible by looking at the body. Generally what the initial report is saying is there was nothing obvious like a gunshot or stab wound.CSTXAg92 said:
2) News report saying no trauma, but the coroner report conflicting the original news report.
