No Nicolas Maduro, bad idea.

Your state does not allow early voting in person?

No early voting outside of some absentee ballots and many of them have to be notarized before being turned in.

That's so dumb to me. Two weeks of early voting in Texas is the best, it's insane more states don't do it. You allow two weeks, get rid of mail in voting except for strict absentee situations, and any vote received by mail after the deadline of 5 on Thursday is not counted, and you would solve pretty much every issue anyone has.

I agree that is a great solution.

I think only 6-7 states don't have early voting. Having early voting shortens lines on the day of and prevents those day of lines that last until midnight or so in STL and KC.

But if we never get that, I don't think the mail in fingerprint idea is a bad one.

How about no
Mail in ballots at all except certified absentee ballots? Allowing mail in ballots makes no sense unless you want to encourage cheating.

People can't even fill in the boxes correctly....can't imagine all the smudges trying to get fingerprints right

Is your fingerprint on file with state and federal authorities? If not why would you want it to be.

It would be much easier focusing on getting an ID for the very few eligible voters who don't have an ID so there is no complain about voter ID.

Any resistance to voter ID is just stupid and shows intent to commit fraud or not caring about voter fraud.

There should only be absentee / mail in voting if you are overseas or incapacitated (hospital, nursing home, etc.). Otherwise 99% of votes should be in person and require an ID. Between all the early voting and the laws on election days there is no excuse to not vote in person. There should not be ballot drop-boxes or ballot harvesting allowed.

The Dems pipe-dream of same-day voter registration, no voter ID, unlimited mail-in voting, ballot harvesting, ballot drop-boxes, etc. is all a to manipulate voting and commit fraud IMHO. Even if not, there is so much potential for fraud that ALL of those measure should not be allowed.

Careful. Incapacitated (mentally) people should not receive ballots, as they are not the ones who would vote. It is one of the many ways mail-in ballots are exploited. Medical facility employees often vote using the ballots of people who are not mentally there. It is fraud, plain and simple.

So much blatant ableism in this thread.

Let's do it like some other countries. when you vote, we dye your finger purple. If you want to mail in your ballot, include your finger, we will dye it and send it back.
