Dan McCainshaw defended stock trades by members of Congress, stating that they are not paid enough and how else do people expect legislators to "better themselves"?

Not to be crass, but the guy literally ran on his eye patch. Not substance. That's why some of us had qualms about him from the beginning. A candidate who can't or won't articulate conservative/libertarian principles should not get a pass due to their military service history, yet the primary voters did just that.Ag87H2O said:
What the heck has happened to this guy? Talk about a chamelion. Thought he was going to be a good one and now he has gone full Paul Ryan/Mitt Romney.
Many people set off to "drain the swamp" only to find that the "swamp" is a jacuzzi with champagne and top notchMr Mojo Risin said:

Lol. Their salary alone puts them ahead of about 95% of the rest of the country, and that's not including their allowance, pension, etc.
I don't get to listen to him much anymore, but I remember he was a huge backer when Crenshaw was running the first time. Has he really changed his tune?suburban cowboy said:

It is absolutely ludicrous that members of Congress can hold and trade individual stock while in office.

The access and influence we have should be exercised for the public interest, not our profit. It shouldn’t be legal for us to trade individual stock with the info we have. https://t.co/Z3UZej2eC2
