I wasn't paying close attention to Biden's presser today (following two trials) but I did hear him say that 45% of the Russian economy depends on O&G exports. So that translates in his scrambled brain to Putin would be nuts to try it.

But what I am thinking is that we alone cannot deny SWIFT access without European support, the same ones under the O&G gun? Like that makes sense for them to back us over Russia?

Reagan told Europe to not become dependent on energy from the Soviets back in the 80s. They didn't listen.

Yep, before Biden, Texas and other state producers could cover for Europe's need, now Putin knows he is the only game in town and his clients need their oil and gas during a hard winter and a hot summer.

Ukraine is done, no way Europe suffers because of energy needs. Those solar panels don't work very well under snow.
