Are the Chinese still running WIV and other virus factories? Is anyone doing any research on the matter? Will the Chinese create and release another virus? Are there any nations working to mitigate that possibility?

This was a game changing event and it's a huge threat going forward, yet I don't see or hear anything about investigations, measures to prevent future occurrences, etc.... You don't need nukes when you have biology.

That brings up a point I've not seen discussed. The Chinese don't really need our money to make it happen. They have the resources to fund this stuff. So what was the reason for involving us? Was it to get access to tech/science that we had that they needed?

Absolutely. They created this one and accidentally released it before they had perfected it. Nothing happened to them as a result. The world just looked the other way while freaking out over a small death rate. Absolutely they will create another. If it is less deadly, you can't really punish them for that and if it is more deadly, people will be too busy dealing with that to deal with China. These will be the new "Fat Man" and "Little Boy" just without the outrage.

Fauci wanted this research and successfully prevented Obama and Trump from ending funding for it.

The man is a menace who really doesn't give a damn about who is killed by a pandemic so long as he can study its impact.

He knew what he was getting when he funded this research. He knew China would play fast and loose with standards, having released a few viruses from their labs before this one.

And China? Well if we're willing to pay them to create it, then they aren't going to worry about the ethics of the matter.

They would bronze a turd for $10 if someone was willing to pay for it. No surprise at all they would do this at Fauci's behest with exponentially more money at their disposal.

Globalists like Fauci think that by working with China they can turn China into a good neighbor. This has been the excuse for investing in China for the past 30 years. China is more than happy to go along and rip off our military and industrial IP. The result has been China dominating in Telecom, solar energy, manufacturing of pretty much everything, electric power generation tech, etc, etc. Their space tech is now arguably at least equal to ours. The road to destruction is paved with good intentions.

There will definitely not be any ramifications. The worlds health agencies spent the first year or so carrying water for China and pretending like this was a natural virus from bats even though every random shmuck with 1 brain cell (me) saw how obvious it was that it originated from the wuhan lab.

The question to me is was it released intentionally? Honestly I don't think so. I think someone at the lab f'ed up big time. I don't think China benefits from this as much as some think. Their governments absolute control depends on people being more or less satisfied that their needs are met. An economic collapse could upset this balance the CCP has found and could result in unrest.

The alternative is they did release it on purpose to test the worlds response. The next step would be an actually deadly version that doesn't impact Han Chinese. But again, I don't think that really benefits the CCP. Why destroy your enemy when your enemy is "led" by your lapdog?

My guess is the Chinese are reevaluating their previous strategies with cyber attacks and may put more into bio attacks. Look how disruptive this COVID attack has been and think how much worse it would be if death rates were only a little higher.

This is the scariest thing I've read on TexAgs in a long time... and I was around for all the SeaBass sheet back in the day, so that's saying something.

Would be very scary if this were true.

I hate to be so fatalistic, but the further we move away from the original release of the Wuhan virus, the more I'm inclined to believe it was nothing more than a beta test. They saw all they needed to see, we completely collapsed our own economy for no reason whatsoever, and China never fired a shot. We've shown that we will self destruct and lay down, no reason to think they won't unleash the big one at some point.
