Condensed version: Sarah Beaulieu has been an anthropologist with University of the Fraser Valley since 2018. She used Ground Penetrating Radar to identify what she believed were the remains of more than 200 children on a school site, and used her "discovery" to make allegations of cultural genocide; carried out by the Canadian Govt. ....as of today no bodies have been discovered, as an excavation hasn't even taken place, and Sarah cannot honestly say if the tomography indicate the presence of bodies, or tree roots.

"Her preliminary report is actually based on depressions and abnormalities in the soil of an apple orchard near the school not on exhumed remains," - Prof. Jacques Rouillard

That is crazy! I do remember those headlines but was under the impression actual remains were found.

Journalism really is dead, huh. Wonder where we buried it?

Sounds like the "mass graves" of the Tulsa Race Riot.

Ground penetrating radar and other tools such as seismic can do wonderful things to help locate anomalies in the ground.

But you still have to dig or drill. And if there is nothing there, your interpretation is at fault.

Good lord. I want to say they had already started some reparations talk solely because of this and had started down that path.

I was working a couple hours from there in Canada when the "discovery" was made. It sparked major protests (by Canadian standards)

What's crazy, is all of the news out of Vancouver was that the bodies had been found. Never once did they mention that it was only groud penetrating radar. Everyone up there was lied to.

ETA: Youbet is correct. There was major reperations talks going on about this "find"

Yes I believe you are correct that payments were made to tribes up there or at least were discussed.

So, no one actually dug up any remains? Unbelievable. This is what happens with a media that desperately wants to believe a "white Christians are bad" narrative.

To be accurate, she had her conclusions before she ever got there. She then used "science" to back up her predetermined conclusions.

Not to derail my own thread, but I think something similar happened with covid.

Nope. You have to stick with the first conclusion. "Science!" says you cannot reconsider your position and must plow forward regardless of new evidence. In fact, that it might just be tree roots is nothing but a far flung conspiracy, and there is no evidence to support that it is not the graves of 200 school children. How dare you!

Yep - we are spending millions here in Tulsa looking for bodies from the Race Riots of 100 years ago. Where are they searching, you guessed it, old cemeteries. So if we find hundreds of bodies in an old cemetery, that's going to prove 200+ people were killed in the race riots, vs. the official reports that say it was 37 total including 10 white people.

Which is why the claim seemed plausible, and gained so much traction.

All that matters is that people are seeking The Truth. In 2022...they aren't. When people can honestly set their foolish pride aside, and search for objective Truth with other human beings, I'm almost certain the outcome will always be beneficial.

Somebody needs to be arrested for this.

If they are innocent, I'm sure they can prove there aren't bodies buried there.

That's how it works, right?

The Aggie Fire Department has recovered the remains of 235 victims so far…

Here is the Hell of it....if "reparations" look likely then these aggrieved groups won't let them do any digging because it could endanger their grift. They'll claim is it a sacred burial ground without any actual evidence of burials.

It is who they are. It is what they do.
