What is going to bring down this country is foreign governments learning that they can destroy America from the inside out by buying off our politicians.

I wonder how many of you would tell your kids they don't get to vote since owning property continues to become a bigger challenge or tell your wife/daughter they can't vote either. Nothing surprises me here anymore.

I don't believe in creating second class citizens - not having equal standing through govt law/system is a problem whether it's votes or a myriad of other rights.

Making property ownership a requirement is probably a bit far, but it would be infinitely better than having everyone vote and pretending it's some crucial thing that everyone "makes their voice heard." And I say that as someone that doesn't own property and would be excluded, despite paying thousands in federal taxes each month.

What I would really like is to make passing a civics test a requirement every four years to be able to vote. If you can pass it and show you aren't a complete idiot that doesn't know how anything works, you get a vote. If not, study up and try next time. That would be fair.

I also think we should add weights to votes based on how much an individual contributes. Someone that pays $50,000 in federal taxes each year should have more say than someone that pays $5,000.

Pretty much all of them, and proud of it.
