Raney filed, so I guess John Harvey is challenging.

I guess we will see who campaigns against vaccine mandates for Federal subcontractors and those around them. Which candidate supports the 10th amendment and the people over Federal mandates?

With those "levels" of participation, he's obviously after the support of the common working man.

Being in TexAgs jail changes a man……..no, not really

Not in my district but he's pretty generic republican on issues.

If I were in his district, I would push him to take a strong stand for state sovereignty with regard to 10th amendment. The message that the states created the federal government and not the other way around needs to be emphasized by ANY candidate on the conservative side. I would hope the liberal side could agree on that point, but I won't hold my breath. Government closest to the people always works best versus a top down approach.

I would be interested on his position on #TEXIT.
I know nothing!

This is really confusing to me.
Perhaps I am overlaying my own personal opinion, but Randy seems to be doing a fine job. Why run against him? I would suspect that this is Randy's last term if elected.

I think autocorrect is hitting you hard and doesn't like Raney.

I don't know, nor suspect this is Raney's last run. He is sharp, and has worked hard to be healthy. He is a personal friend and I have always been happy with his service, but I also have known what I was getting every time when I voted for him. And when he does something that I find surprising he articulates it well enough that I don't have an objection (which is something that I want in everyone I vote for, we don't always have to agree on everything; who best represents me is how I cast my vote). I do know is from his first primary for a full term he seems to always get people that want to attack him for not being Republican enough. No clue if that is what Slocum is planning on doing.

Tough choice. Is Jimbo's nephew still around?

John Raney does an incredible job representing the Bryan/TAMU district.

Not really sure why someone is challenging.

I hope he remembers that while the states may have created the federal government, there is something called the Constitution that prevents individual states from doing whatever they want. That is why states can no longer allow one human being to own another, why women are allowed to vote, why a person can't be terminated from his/her job because of their sexual orientation and why people can't be denied access to a restaurants, hotel, school or bathroom because of the color of their skin. Those are just a few of the individual rights protected and enforced by the "evil" federal government. Yes, I'm afraid (literally, because I live in Texas) I am one of those socialist, tree hugging, gun hating, whining liberals. If that makes me "an enemy of the state" as they say in North Korea, then so be it.

Yeah that's probably why the guy you responded to mentioned the 10th amendment. You know, the constitution that you filthy leftists like to wipe your a$$ with. Clown post.

Edit to add, if socialists are afraid of living in Texas then that tells me that Texans are doing something right.
