1)Improvement of the current censorship situation
2)Things get alot worse
in the case of 2, i see the opportunity to pull even more people off of twitter due to backlash
TBH I am okay with wither one.
This is false. No way he stepped down just like that... Something is the background here, who knows if we'll ever actually find out.

- Parler (basically defunct after Amazon helped out Twitter and Facebook by kicking them off AWS)
- Minds (very good, could use more users)
- Gab (haven't used it myself, but it has a sizeable following
There are alternatives. People just need to actually use them.
Gab actually with the vision to create a parallel economy which I'm on board with. Obviously audacious but glad someone is taking the lead.Waffledynamics said:Yes, if only someone would try that.Keegan99 said:Kind of terrified what happens to Twitter once Jack is gone; he basically is the one lone sane man holding back the (staff) woke mob, as far as I can tell. No idea, but that doesn't change the fact that there are already alternatives.MindofCarlos said:Waffledynamics said:Yes, if only someone would try that.Keegan99 said:Kind of terrified what happens to Twitter once Jack is gone; he basically is the one lone sane man holding back the (staff) woke mob, as far as I can tell. Is Trump still starting his own social media platform? He already had the funding. He realistically would be the only platform that could compete with Twitter.
I doubt he is sane.Keegan99 said:Kind of terrified what happens to Twitter once Jack is gone; he basically is the one lone sane man holding back the (staff) woke mob, as far as I can tell. We need an alternative ASAP.

That is ominous.Keegan99 said:Former CTO and new Twitter CEO Agrawal in November 2020 interview: "Our role is not to be bound by the First Amendment... focus[ing] less on thinking about free speech, but thinking about how the times have changed."

What is needed isn't another CEO leading twitter, what is needed is an alternative to twitter that doesn't condone and actively censor alternative viewpoints, whether they be political, scientific, social or philosophical.
Twitter is nothing more than a totalitarian organization which suppresses free speech and actively promotes canceling opposing thoughts and destroying people's lives.

Guy is the epitome of a POS. I will take Zuck (never met) over Jack anyday. Guy had a vendetta. I am shocked he is stepping down.
EDIT:
And late to the thread. Agrawal will be more left than Jack. Yikes.
