I won't travel the ocean to see a cathedral built in 2021, but I will to see a historical building in all its original luster from the 12th century.

ETA: I saw it in 2010 and it was quite moving.

Distorting history or outright denial of history dooms people to make the same mistakes.

There are posters here that continually tear down the foundations this country was built on, good bad or indifferent. This country had raised its common citizens to the most wealthy educated people living in relative luxury the world has ever seen, warts and all. In the last couple of decades the socialists, whether with noble or evil intentions, have chipped away from this prosperity to be where we are today.

They refuse to examine history proving dictatorial, communistic, socialistic, feudal, oligarchic forms of government have suppressed the common citizens dooming them to subsistence or worse starvation existence. Worse yet, some intentionally exterminated large %'s of their population, estimates exceed 100 million people, in the name of their corrupted societal beliefs.
