Sorry if previously posted. Been meaning to post since I saw it, but just busy. Wouldn't have expected the NYT to produce something like this.

And, for what it's worth, if it makes any difference, I'm not Republican or Democrat. Think I'm pretty centrist. I also believe modern conservatives have plenty of hypocritical stances as well. This video was just well produced, and figured this board would get a boner over it.

To be fair, politics is nothing but hypocrisy. You just have to decide who is the least hypocritical, or which hypocrisy you're most ok with.

Hypocrisy is a worthless observation today. Nobody of consequence or power lives by a code of ethics any longer. Results matter in this war. Maybe the victor will return to some form of classic honor and ethics, but not until the other is eradicated.

Half the people who identify as liberal aren't actually liberal. They are that way because it's trendy to be that way.

Everyone wants to support solutions that help all. Most are just lazy and can't rationalize how liberal ideas are impossible to implement because the dollars don't add up

This is accurate

It's easy to support lazy, feel good platitudes like "everyone should have a solid middle class life style no matter what!" and not have a care or clue how impossible that lazy, feel good platitude is to actually implement in the real world

They're like the kid who ran for class president in 3rd grade on a platform of "abolish homework, replace all classes with recess and only offer free unlimited soda, pizza and chocolate ice cream for lunch!"

Yep, whatever makes them feel morally superior and Justifiably sanctimonious with minimal effort expended. Oh, yeah, and by allocating other peoples' wealth.
