I had no clue about this case until I stumbled upon it tonight. Dude is accused of killing 18 people, all elderly. The defense didn't call any witnesses. The jury began deliberating Thursday afternoon. By Friday afternoon, the jury was hopelessly deadlocked 11-1 and the judge declared a mistrial.

Sounds like there were actually 25 murders he was tied to, but they only charged him with 18

One survived and described him to police and they found the stolen property in his residence!

They have video of him stalking the victim coming out of a store, and the victim's jewelry box was found in his possession. I am sure there is other evidence

Not sure how he wasn't found guilty

A black juror that wasn't going to convict a black man no matter how guilty he was, and a black judge fine with throwing in the mistrial towel less than 24 hours of deliberations beginning.

This is a friggin travesty

There are estimates he is the most prolific serial killer in world history with more than 1000 victims. Apparently there is a very long list of mysterious deaths very similar to those he was charged with where he worked.

From what I have read recently, black jurors are extremely likely to have bias towards blacks. It's almost impossible to have a fair trial now with a black suspect and black jurors.

The news has not confirmed race, but we all know the answer here.

It's the assumption based on the fact it was 11-1 to convict and the 1 juror wouldn't even deliberate. Clearly she (I think I read it was a female, but I wouldn't swear on it) had her mind made up before the trial and would never vote to convict the guy.

Given the circumstances of the crimes I'd be willing to bet the uncooperative juror was a white liberal woman.
The federal government was never meant to be this powerful.

And if one of his victims had shot him in an attempt, the Dallas DA would have charged that person.

Collin has cases against this guy with DNA. They need to jump Dallas and go for the death penalty for this guy. As a Collin resident, this is one jury summons I'd love to get

That's why you need jury nullification to sometimes correct a charge that should never be made.

Its another form of vigilantism.
