You do realize that the sanctions have crippled their economy and personal wealth right? Sanctions take longer than a day to feel the full impact. The longer Ukraine holds on the higher a chance of them winning this thing. They just need to outlast the Russians

Yeah it sure detered them. How is all that promised artillery coming along? Cant wait to see how the world responds to China's takeover of Taiwan. You seemed to pass over those two items in your response. We are a weak, dysfunctional country. So is everyone else.

Ok eta I think the source of first tweet:

What is even going on anymore?

First seems false? But I thought it was pretty reliable before this tweet

Russian disinfo has been telling citizens that Ukrainians are Nazis for years. Now they're telling them that this war is to liberate Ukraine and purge the Nazis. Now they're planning a victory celebration for their fake purge where they kill a ton of Ukrainian civilians and label them Nazis.

So guys,

I hate saying this, but indications are that - perhaps - the best thing for the U.S. in the short term is for Ukraine to fall. I hate typing that, but the alternative is looking like NATO countries to start getting sucked into this, which will obligate us. As I said last night, that means World War III. I don't know that I'm willing to go to that over Ukraine.

I really hope I'm exaggerating or seeing ghosts in the shadows, but all it's gonna take is one radar lock on an F-35 flying along the border to instigate something that may be very hard to break away from.

Only if Putin is satisfied with Ukraine. Otherwise you sacrifice a country and its people for nothing. And you still have to fight. So you'd better be damn sure.

Where do you draw the line? Is naked aggression against an innocent country not enough? We've gone to war over far less in our history. A strong NATO response would neutralize Russia quickly. I think its time to stand.

On Feb 11, war correspondent Michael Yon wrote this. Most of it is coming true. What is next is ominous...

War with Russia Can Explode -- literally at the Speed of Light: Here's why

Mind Dump, Sans Edit

Watching this all unfold. Like a glacier creeping across an awakening super volcano.

Using FlightRadar24 and other methods, am watching large numbers of American military aircraft -- including B-52s -- moving forward to places like Poland.

If this touches off, it's very difficult to imagine a likely scenario in which this does not quickly spread.

As you know, last year I spent several weeks in Lithuania and warned many times that the Polish and Lithuania borders were being probed using migrants as cover, while developing a migrant-pump and pipeline as a weapon in case of war. The migrants can be used both as human shields and cover to send in spies and special forces.

But that's the small war. The big war can hit the high seas and Americans everywhere in a matter of minutes.

Imagine a simple scenario in which Russia invades beginning with cyberwar, information war, airstrikes, rocket strikes, artillery, and ground invasion. Many of the rockets, artillery, and other weapons are being fired from within the borders of Belarus and Russia.

The US provides direct intelligence or even firepower against Russian ground troops. Russia attacks our space assets, and lights up our aircraft with fire control radar in Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine, for starters.

Russia loses troops early on, and respond by launching surface-to-air and ground-to-ground missiles from within Belarus/Russia at US forces, and shoots down American aircraft.

Now what are we to do? Russia and Belarus are using electronic warfare, fire control radar, and weapons that are stationed WITHIN their sovereign borders.

How will you respond? Firing back at the fire control radar, artillery, and air bases, would comprise a clear attack on their own people in their own homelands. Remember -- Russia can put people into space more reliably than the US Postal Service can deliver your mail before spying on it.

The Bear has spies working all around America including within the US military, CIA, and the works. We are Woke like that.

If we fire into Russia and Belarus, even by accident, that's the first shot of World War III. You can bet there will not be any commercial air travel within hundreds of miles of the battle zone -- and in fact all air travel to Europe might be closed at the beginning of a cold winter.

Meanwhile, not to target-fixate, Iran and others are eyeing up the region, including Israel. And then there is Taiwan. Our own borders are wide open. Food, fuel, and fertilizer prices are steadily rising.

The Canadian trucker strike -- growing in seriousness by the hour -- and the American truck strike that is forming, and I will join if the Blue Devils and not started World War III yet.

Friends write messages with quips such as, "We will close Nord Stream II." Russia will take the pipeline in Ukraine.

There is every reason to believe that The Beast will create an emergency situation in America and the pretense of a Republic will crumble this year. If you believe they got away with stealing elections the first time, why would they not do it again? Or just cancel elections altogether. It's an emergency, after all. Take the jab. March to war. Pay your taxes. And shut up or die.

IMO these politicians don't give a crap. I think they wanted this over in 2-3 days and could posture how tough they were on Russia with sanctions and then get back to the status quo. Bonus points for wiping out all their tracks how they've been using the country as their personal piggy bank.

The longer this draws out the more they are shown as ****ty people IMO.

If anybody would help the Russians would lose and be pushed back but that can't be allowed to happen.

NATO is afraid of nukes. The only reason I see why there is no intervention. Like watching a psycho with a basket of puppies drowning them one by one in a river and not doing anything because you know he has a gun. It's frustrating beyond belief.

Russia can do whatever it wants because of that gun. Nothing will stop them. No one is even willing to try.

And the most frustrating thing of all, is I understand that fear on a national level. It's rational and justified. It also ****ing sucks.

If you want to see the Russian perspective, this telegram channel is pretty good: https://t.me/intelslava

This one is pretty impartial but they are very much of a pro-nationalism telegram channel that often reports news from a nationalism slant all over the world, they are obviously heavily focused on Ukraine/Russia right now: https://t.me/BellumActaNews

This guy is an American expat living in Kiev so he knows exactly what is happening there, he's been pretty accurate so far: https://t.me/realCRP

This is another nationalist telegram with a focus on geopolitical issues, they are really good as well: https://t.me/CIG_telegram

Telegram has some excellent sources like the above that present angles you won't get many other places. Tons of videos and solid analysis. The Russian one has some propaganda obviously, but is interesting nonetheless. This is, honestly, one of Telegram's major strengths over other locations.

Good article and analysis prior to the war, he's pretty spot on. The potential for escalation is huge in this war. Everyone has to tread very carefully or the next war will be fought with sticks and stones.

And to think back in the mid-90's Bill Clinton and the Democrats talked the Ukraine into giving nukes in its territory back to the Russians.

One thing about ole Bill, he could sell water to a fish. And the fact he was an FP moron
