President Biden and his administration are corrupt AND incompetent, a deadly combination.
Among the latter, under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and sheep.”

While she can accurately screenshot Flightradar this chick is a moron imo.

She consistently gets surprised by routine things up here at mcchord. Like 17s flying to Christchurch even though one of mcchords more publicized missions is Antarctic support. Out of Christchurch.

Swift is a big deal

Putin has said they consider that basically an economic death sentence and will escalate.

Giddy up buttercup.

Sit about to get real.

Next step is the break-away Donbas region holds a referendum in which their public agrees to request that Russia annex them formally. Bite by bite……

Insisting on including unoccupied parts of the state and stuffing the ballot boxes and then when international observers declare it rigged they say that was caused by Western intelligence services they won and run their troops in anyway? Yeah I think they'll skip a couple of steps and just go all in.

Biden said Friday that they would "probably not" kick Russia out of SWIFT, at least initially.
Quote:

"All options remain on the table. But it's probably not going to be the case that you'll see SWIFT in the initial rollout package," Daleep Singh, White House deputy national security adviser for international economics, said in a briefing Friday.

"We have other severe measures we can take, that our allies and partners can take in lockstep with us, that don't have the same spillover effects," he added.

Would be very effective but doubt this will happen. We'll see.

While I understand and agree with you that much of what we found in the recent days as interesting or though was unusual but was actually business as usual for military flights, I'm not sure I'd call an Osprey and two MC-130J's making a beeline to the border near where (Lviv) the remaining embassy staff is normal. But I guess it could be just routine training flights.

Ah got ya. Everyone on Twitter gets really interested in what the RC-135's and WC-135's are doing when they're on the tracker. Sure it's interesting but it's not like I'm going to devote hours of time to try and figure out what they might be doing.

The only thing that caught my eye was when someone noted the flight paths of the drones kind of coincided with possible deployments of S-400 batteries.

Would be a prudent step to do a fresh backup of all your digital files and keep on a hard drive not connected to anything, withdraw some extra cash, and up your computer security.

A possible or even likely Russian response to sanctions would include cyber-attacks by proxies on commercial and institutional targets: critical telecom, energy and finance. I've seen suggestions that viruses which would attack the average Joe directly could be a part of that mix to provide obfuscation and increase chaos.

No reason to panic, but these are good steps to take regardless, and better safe than sorry.

It seems to copy what Biden released today. It is entirely likely that it's a reminder that the option to do that is out there, but I doubt it is an announcement of intentions.

If Taiwan and S. Korea will play ball on this for the US, could be huge on two fronts. Freeze out Russia and alleviates supply chain issues for US/Europe

That's the decision he has to make. Risk 100,000 lives of Ukrainians and fight or maybe sacrifice half the country in the next few years and still have to fight.

Thats seemingly where the Ukrainians are at, especially after the address Putin gave saying that Ukraine is not a real country.

What would prompt Turkey to take a stance? Or do they just want to look supportive without doing isht?
