I'm no covidologist but I think it depends a lot on past illnesses. My daughter and son-in-law both got it simultaneously. It kicked his ass (between flu and pneumonia) and she's got the sniffles. He had pneumonia the prior summer, she's never even had the flu. And both of them were collegiate athletes.


My comment was tongue in cheek. That's what we always see on F16, and yes for a lot of people it is mild, but for some it's also pretty bad.

FWIW, I've had a few physicians tell me that COVID tends to affect males more severely than females, so that may have been a contributing factor in the difference between their symptoms.
