That's a 2+ hour video.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter. So i will cede your point that the anti-American liberal was being extremely stupid and was thus justifiably shot in self defense in a struggle for a firearm.

He had a more noble and virtuous reason for being there than a single leftist did that night. He helped protect an innocent person's business from being burned to the ground.

Eh. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Two pieces of vermin died that night because they had no respect for others' property or rights. THEY should not have been out there. And they won't be out there next time.

Yep. A skateboard is a deadly weapon when it is used in that manner. Just like the shooting in NM that disappeared rather quickly from the news when video of the whole event came out.

No he's not.

He was a scared sh**less kid that was running for his life and accidentally killed someone in his terror and fleeing to get away.

Stop lowering the bar on the title of "HERO". Too many "Heroes" have died or are maimed for life, who actually did heroic acts to earn the title.

To call Rittenhouse a hero is a slap in the face to real heroes in the world.

And then conceded and stood corrected once my memory was refreshed. And I said "had a firearm" but had forgotten about the Guy that was wounded had a pistol, I did initially point out that one of the DOA had a skateboard and the other DOA had a glass bottle.

And as I have said now for a third time, I stand corrected

Accidentally? One dude tried to shoot him, another tried to skull him with a skateboard, and the last drew on him and lost. Three attempts were made to murder him, and he won. What would you do?

Try harder

Hope it works out with the kid getting exonerated, as it should.

He operated within his rights (being there and being armed), and when corrupt whacko Leftists attacked him violently - he prevailed 3 times.

Not sure about "hero" but he was definitely on the right side of this

That dude was unlucky. He was chasing an armed individual, unarmed, when a 3rd party shot a round into the air. If you are being chased are you going to stop to verify your pursuer isn't firing at you?

That 3rd party should be charged with something, it was his illegal act that escalated the situation.

Unlucky and stupid. But Kyle didn't have to wait for a shot to be fired to defend himself.

Rittenhouse performed a textbook "duty to retreat". But some people call it "running away".

I support gun ownership even for people who are unaware of the difference, but good luck in court if you have have to use your weapon.

Couple of things, Rosenbaum was seen on video earlier instigating and trying to start altercations with the guys that were there trying to defend property. His mindset was for violence and mayhem that night.

IIRC, At the time he was chasing Rittenhouse, someone fired off a gun and you have this maniac screaming obscenities and chasing you, who then corners you in tight spot and tries to go for your gun. He got what was coming to him. No way for Rittenhouse to know if that guy was armed or not after hearing a shot fired during the chase and this lunatic trying to escalate against an armed person.

DOA with glass bottle was with a mob of people chasing him, threatening him, while he retreated and while someone fired shots at him or near him. See videos.

Skater boi literally had a skateboard and tried to smash his head open with the wheels and black dude is very lucky he missed on the kick.

Oh, and to rub salt in your wound, he cleared the weapon on a misfire too. Add that to your scorecard of whatever it is your hurt about.

What the kid was able to manage while attempting to flee attackers, he didn't attack the crowd he defended himself on the run, is pretty spectacular all things considered.

Whether he should have been there is a different discussion and not my business. Only commenting on what he did to get act after being attacked and chased by a liberal mob of racists and violent offenders. Oh, and he didn't accidentally shoot any innocent bystanders. Another bonus.

ETA: it was frustrating watching it on stream because the freaking police were right there and he had to run to them. All around messed up. If anything slap him with transportation of a firearm but I wouldn't even convict him on that because the government officials wanted the riots, the destruction, and told the police to stay away.

Let's not forget that Rittenhouse (juvenile) tried to run away from each of his adult "victims" before shooting them. I can't believe that this has gone to trial.

First guy was the mini-me paedo fellow that was chasing him into a parking lot. The other guy fired shots in Kyle's direction and at that point Kyle turned, mini-me closed the distance and tried to grab the gun and got shot and died.

Second guy was the skateboard wielding domestic abuser that tried to crack open Kyle's skull. He got shot and did the Mike Tyson knock-out dance and fell down and died.

Third guy was a felon who pulled a handgun. Kyle shot him in the arm and felon went wee-wee-wee all the way to the hospital.

Kyle then finishes his retreat to safety. Keep in mind that after the first shooting Kyle tried to administer help while on the line with 9-1-1 trying to get help. They told him to make his way to the cops a couple of blocks away.

Didn't he even call medics to help his first attacker?

Besides the point though. Zero doubt in my mind they would have killed him or at least rendered him a bloody pulp, likely a vegetable, or suffering from lasting injuries/brain damage.

All good shots.

The ONLY argument, is "should he have been there?". I bet the business owner that didn't have his place destroyed is glad some armed men showed up to protect his place.

Yep. I remember watching the standoff on a live feed and thinking he was the mother of all violent punks. He was in their face constantly trying to agitate them.

I am not saying this pudgy baby faced kid should be in the elite forces, but there are a lot of famous navy seals and green berets that I am not sure could have managed what he was able to that night, under direct attack in a similar non-wartime scenario by themselves. I chalk some of it up to luck I guess. I kind of doubt Chris Kyle nails it like that in a similar domestic/civilian situation. This was pure self defense and just the simple fact that he didn't freeze up, and was even able to clear a jammed weapon and neutralize the attackers...simply amazing...whether purely luck or not.

Don't get me wrong, Chris Kyle, Marcus Luttrell, name your fav military hero, could have killed everyone there with just a handful of mags of ammo, but that's not the point...in a self defense situation, greatly outnumbered, with insanely rigid ROE, literally being attacked from all directions...I'm not sure what % of the time they are able to pull everything off that Rittenhouse did. I am still blown away to this day.

Ignoring what is fairly clear on the video.

Clearly trying to change the narrative based on incorrect facts (AKA 'gaslightling')

Clearly (at least in my opinion) against the use of force in self defense.

New user.

Add it up, and your posts fit the profile of posters paid by a Soros or the DNC to try to change narrative instead of analyze facts. We have seen a ton of posters like this show up since August 2020.

I agree with you 100%. Just saying, that is the only thing I could see people maybe debating as a meaningless thought exercise. I admire him for showing up greatly outnumbered to protect a private business.
