I agree that there needs to be more context given to the photo - a still photo can be very deceiving in terms of what is actually happening… hell, that could be an IBC root beer bottle. It's also fairly tame for a "political blackmail" type photo with no real context around it.

But most of the posters on this thread would be ok with a male teacher drinking with female HS students at a house party? (assuming that is true). It's amazing what some people will justify in their mind.

I was a HS teacher/coach at 22 years old around the same time (2010), and was keenly aware of the perception of me being near 17-18 year old girls outside of the classroom. You wouldn't have caught me anywhere near a photo like that…. with or without the bottle.

Very possible, but think it depends on Trump and where his wife is with her treatment.

DeSantis is pretty young still and if him and Donald get into it, it'll fracture the party. Think DeSantis is a lot smarter than Trump and won't want to do that.

Possibly. Think Trump might need to look for a VP candidate from a crucial swing state. FL isn't really in play for democrats right now. Trump might need to look to Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, etc. to get his VP candidate.

They couldn't run together anyway. EC electors can't cast more than one vote for a candidate from their state, and Trump changed his residency to Florida. So EC electors from Florida could vote for Trump as president (assuming he runs and wins the state again, which I believe he would easily), but not for Desantis as VP. Or they could cast a vote for someone else for president and for Desantis as VP. Either way, that'd be a stupid game to play. You'd likely end up with a president from one party and a VP from the other.

You have a random photo that is alleged to be Ron DeSantis under questionable circumstances. However, we know nothing about the context of this photo. Maybe that's a bottle of root beer. Maybe there were parent chaperones at the party. Maybe those are not high school girls but his age.

None of that matters. All you need is an anonymous whistle blower spouting a bunch of BS to throw shade on DeSantis so that the media can paint him in a negative light. I agree with you, a teacher drinking and partying with students is creepy as ****. It's bizarre what people are willing to tolerate as long the candidate has the correct letter next to their name.
