A federal civil rights lawsuit was filed Tuesday on behalf of a coalition of parents against Attorney General Merrick Garland, claiming that his recent memo directing the FBI to investigate and potentially prosecute "threats" leveled by parents against school board members is intended to chill speech.

Judeo-Christian public interest law firm American Freedom Law Center (AFLC) brought the suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on behalf of parents from Saline, Mich., and Loudoun County, Va.
This is very good.

Glad to see some parents with the stones to sue that anti-American piece of garbage.

Anything that takes his time and focus away from screwing the Amercian public is a good thing.

Hope they win big.

Garland's blatant conflict of interest will become an issue in this case. Hopefully forcing the MSM to discuss it.

Yeah, I won't be holding my breath. They've been all in on downplaying the racist garbage (much like one of our resident libs calling it a dog whistle, boogeyman for conservatives) and characterizing anyone that disagrees as a domestic terrorist.

I wonder if he'll assert his qualified immunity (Google tells me the A.G.'s office narrowly missed out on having absolute immunity in a S.Ct. decision in the 80's when a former Nixon A.G. was trying to assert it)?

Kind of funny in light of the police officer/qualified immunity thread.

Yep. Obama was selling that one hard, trying to bait McConnell into considering Garland because he was a moderate.

For all of the criticism of McConnell, and a lot of it is fair, the man knew Obama was selling another lie all along and he stood firm and did not take the bait.

You have to work hard to become a more hated AG than Eric Holder and John Mitchell. But Garland is clearly making his best efforts to do so.
