For some reason, almost everyone remaining on TexAgs thinks if a politician works well with others they're a "spineless pushover."

There are many more of us out here (see: Election) that think you don't have to be a divisive hater to achieve goals. And in fact, there might even be reachable common goals. I know, you won't see that kind of talk on InfoWars or the other fringe media to which you subscribe.

What happened to the GOP for normal people? I feel like I have to choose from a horrific Democratic party prepared to give up our country and a bunch of psycho Republicans that flushed all of their meds and now believe in omni conspiracy.
Who cares whether some believe whatever an "omni conspiracy" is? How are the policies? How are the results?

Dem policies are proven failures. Trump policies had the economy humming like never before.

This ain't hard.

Maybe if you don't attribute the worst attributes of fringe elements to the larger voting base would be a good place to start.
A & M, GIVE US ROOM!

He also said he is a big proponent of institutional government programs and criticized Trump for not respecting them.
Robert Gates is a classic example of Pournelle's iron law of bureaucracy:

"In any bureaucracy, the people devoted to the benefit of the bureaucracy itself always get in control and those dedicated to the goals that the bureaucracy is supposed to accomplish have less and less influence, and sometimes are eliminated entirely."
