I hate this mentality and how is become the go to response from the right. Why fight the swamp because the swamp protects itself... This is why Democrats get away with so much and always are on the better end of across the aisle compromises. "Conservative" just give up rather than fighting for accountability.

No individual can overcome the swamp, but if a decent amount of the individuals that actually cared would stand up, the swamp be overcome quickly.

Probably. It's a closed fund and not open to investors, so they are able to do all sorts of trading behind the scenes and protect their proprietary formula.

It's basically a fund that's by and for the original fund owners and nobody else, and that's how they generate their alpha. If they let in outside investment and more transparency, it would go away.

That's the emergency escape hatch route -- the `better than slave' route. But there is another way though, and its overlooked because you have a partly impotent filter muzzling your power.

When you have a party/faction that does on a party scale what Trump did individually (keep its promises that are within its power, pursue the goals you said you would) --- then you can stand up. But when you have types like Cheney and Kinzinger and similar wobbles "blunting" the voice you want the party to speak with, impotence ensues.

The first step is getting party remade to be that assertive and focused. November will determine if elections even still work -- there is no way this crew would remain in power if they do --- after that, the challenge will be preventing recurrences such as Ryan's incoherent handling of the 2016 victory.
