Well this is way more believable than all of the hate crime hoaxes we have learned to discount over the years. We KNOW this type of sh** goes on ALL THE TIME at countless companies, so, really, whether this particular story is 100% true or not, is kind of irrelevant. Hate crime hoaxes are reinforce a narrative that is almost entirely built on lies. We know that hate crimes are far from the norm...so much so that they typically have to be conjured up by liberal dipsh*ts.

In a futuristic world where corporations are the main oppressors and strong arm men of the democrat party, they'd be pimping "free markets" as they were cut off from the right to purchase basic goods for their families because they weren't registered for The Party, or they have a history of purchasing the wrong things like guns etc. "Welp, looks like we just have to die, or flee to another country, or start our own multi-national conglomerate, fam!"

lol, that would be true in a free market. the free market was destroyed by socialist government and their big tech and fortune 500 cronies, which can never not happen if you let government grow as we did from about 1913 on.

there is no free market except in certain tiny irrelevant local markets.

As a hiring manager, I've had many positions asking for experience specifically between 3 - 5 years. I want to train that individual. I don't want them trained when I get them.

That said, I would NOT give an interview for that second resume because math is just not that difficult.

The under 30 crowd is largely just emulating the words from leaders. What they don't realize is that those leaders have largely already won and know that they are likely insulated from the consequences unlike the under 30s.

Tend to agree with most of that, but in this case lean strongly toward it being a hoax. DuckDuckGo after all, is a company coming down on the side of anti-violation of privacy, and the general approach of the other browsers. For them to be Left in this instance doesn't fit that overall push-back.

Hiring practices based on arbitrary social trends is a stupid enough and dangerous enough reason to warrant it being part of anti-discrimination legal theory.

Allowing it to continue, promoting it, or goal tending for it, is communistic because it is clearly part of the Marxist thought process.

This is a differentiation I am trying to be better about making, glad you said that. A lot of stuff seems to be Marxism-enabling...not necessarily Marxist in philosophy. I have a bad habit of speaking in vague terms about anything that contributes to or aligns with Marxism or the spread of Marxism in any way...as Marxism.

You could use a variant of the term that applies to Never Trumpers and Concerned Moderates that keep the Republican Party totally impotent: functionally Democrats.

Companies already can't hire and fire who they want. The Civil Rights Act guaranteed that, as did the Supreme Court decisions related to LGBTQ. We already had religious protection in the constitution too.

Of course none of the above is enforced evenly at all and that's what this thread is about.

Yep. We tried to fire a toxic, abusive female that everyone wanted out and were not allowed to by HR because she was female. Was literally told this by HR.

The rules are applied unequally and are currently skewed towards protecting and promoting people that are not white and/or not straight.
