I would argue that it is the non-stop preaching of the "systemic racism" false narrative over the last decade or so by the liberal academia, that has pushed the increase in these statistics. Likely for both sides of the political aisle.

50% of college kids shouldn't be in college. Back before grade inflation, diploma mills, worthless degrees, etc.. they wouldn't be. So consider who they polled.

The kids who believe this type of stuff are the limp wristed pencil necked losers who had weird upbringings and ate in the courtyards during HS lunch with the other children of atheist white liberals.

It is a troubling stat, but the kids who support this stuff are some of the softest sacks of sh** IN THE WORLD. Not just in the US.

That's the only thing that gives me comfort. My 120lb wife could strike many of them down with stunning ease.

Fundamental to 'free speech' is respect of the speaker even during times of utter disagreement.
It is an indication that college campuses are no longer places where people have basic respect for one another and that your tribe is more important than deliberation and curation of ideas. Its scary to think there is little place for even feigned open-mindedness. Democracy requires deliberation for its long-term success and legitimacy. I'm sure many of these students think they are on the side of democracy but in fact are acting out against it.
