Flanders also had a violent breakdown because he failed to acknowledge the truth, and instead buried his emotions until they boiled over. Yeah, great icon there.

Unpopular opinion: The Simpsons suck.

They have had their moments and characters, but overall, a big bag of liberal blah.

Portland spent $9 mil on a pedestrian-only bridge in a part of the city that has a major traffic problem. The worst part is there is another pedestrian bridge about 2 blocks from the Flanders bridge. I gave it 12 hours before there's a homeless person camped out on top of the Flanders plaque. The city is so unbelievably out of touch with reality.

And why not for the people of Portland elected a bunch of cartoon characters to represent them.

I was walking to a Portland Beavers game one day when I lived there in the summer of 2002 and looked down randomly and saw Bart Simpson drawn into wet cement that had hardened and was done and signed by Matt Greoning.

This is pretty on brand for the city.
