I would assume in theory it shouldn't be an issue given that they're two different vaccines and the mode of action is different. Not sceintific enough to give a true answer though

I've seen a few articles which have said the NovaVax one could be used as a booster to previously administers shots. Now this was some months ago so I guess we'll find out if or when the FDA gets their head out of their ass.

the Forbes article OP linked referred to all healthcare workers, not just physicians but also nurses and aides. it also cited the 96% figure among physicians, but noted that vaccination rates were under 50% for nurses.

maybe the nurses know something the physicians don't?

Only in the fantasy world you created for yourself where you believe the shots are 100% safe and everyone is willing to get them except for stupid people that need to be forced to take the needle or else.

And yet your unfounded pessimistic outlook keeps getting shown to be unwarranted and people are dying needlessly as a result.

"Healthcare workers" can include everyone in the hospital including the janitors and orderlies. I can tell with certainty that vaccination rate amongst physicians is 95%+ if not higher. The only point of contention is which vaccine to get and when/if you booster.

Let's go back to this for a moment. Correct me if I am wrong but the Novavax shot is a true vaccine and not mrna gene therapy. So using an actual vaccine as a "booster" shot to augment the mrna shots is a bit disingenuous, isn't it? An admission that the mrna shots aren't working?

Never heard of Covovax

They are threatening to fire us even though some of us have vastly superior natural immunity (not that that should matter). I have heard of some pharmacists willing to give the shot into the trash can for a small price. If anyone has "a guy" (lol can't imagine any female ever doing this) please PM me. Shooting for the Houston area but someone told me there a pharmacist in college station that does it for $100 and I'd be willing to make that trek if I had to.

Too late for me, hope it works and gains traction. I read it should be ok for booster shots. Now need GlaxoSmithKline version approved.
