What was looking at with the video was the loud snaps, almost none falling, and what looked like traces of smoke burps --- also consistent with flash bangs. They also have a noxious gas or can I believe.

Unless the Australian Police are as accurate at the NYC police when shooting. It is kind of far away but some of the cops have handguns drawn, which would not be for flashbangs and rubber bullets. Plus one person does fall down and several cops converge on that person. I kind of doubt they are shooting them with live bullets running away but if they are, that is an unnecessary escalation of a tense situation.

At 0:15, you can clearly see someone on the center left side of the video take aim on the person standing still. Then a second after they take aim, the person collapses.
