How quickly some of you forget how great of a POTUS he was. You people disgust me.

He was great and I'm a MAGA guy all the way but he can't win this time and DeSantis can. Stolen whatever I don't care I want the house back at midterm and the White House in 24. If Trump runs he won't win because he will be debate #1 guy all over again and not debate #2 guy.
DeSantis kills the Dems but in a manner that will get more votes than Trump.

Good grief

Hiring a team in Iowa is not normal.

He's not President because he hired a team in Iowa?

Makes sense
Uhmm, No

All he had to do as President is not be a complete dick and he would still be President.

He is an ego maniac and thinks he can run as a challenger and win. Never going to happen.

DeSantis is the guy. NOT Trump. He blew it.

HTH
He could have been a wet piece of paper Bush clone and still would have lost in 2020 due to the blatant cheating.

Trump blew it on:
1. Spending. Didn%92t get it down.
2. Covid. He got clowned by Fauci. %A0The day he put on a mask was the day he lost covid.%A0
3. Not getting the election stolen. The other side was open with their plans for months or years. He didn%92t stop it.%A0

DeSantis seems like the stronger play. I%92m inclined to hope Trump doesn%92t run.%A0

I really don't think Biden or Kamala could beat Desantis sans ballot harvesting. Not sure that I can say that about Trump, because of the rabid propagandists and the ammunition Trump feeds them. All that really matters is that scum bag liberals lose and lose big, which is the same thing as America winning.

It's actually sad, he is sick mentally and needs help and will continue. He did some good things for America too. I hope his family can stop enabling him and help him.
He's sick mentally because he is exploring another run for the Presidency? I guess your bar for that is awfully low.

A Trump 78 is not a normal person 78.

I want to Trump DeSantis ticket in 2024 and then I want DeSantis the next eight years after that.

However if DeSantis is the nominee I will happily vote for him as well.

But the bigger issue is not who's running it's can we "win" because we know the Democrats cheated in 2020 and continue to. I don't know if I will ever trust an American election ever again.

I think people are being a bit naive if they think the Dems will not do the same to Desantis as they did to Trump, go scorched earth, blatantly make up perverse lies from "anonymous sources", employ our intelligence groups to generate false evidence to chase illegal warrants to spy on his campaign, etc.

The playbook is established, and they have a complicit media, big tech, entertainment, academia and swamp full of government bureaucrats in every federal agency to tear down whoever the R candidate ends up being. And if that doesn't look like it is enough to insure a D victory, they will repeat the fraud they carried out in 2020, this time cleaning up some of the messy loose ends that made it so obvious.

Will Desantis give them as much free ammo as Trump? Probably not, but they won't need it.

Trump had a moderately effective presidency while facing the biggest political ****storm anyone has had to endure from opposition party, corporate media, intelligence agencies and big tech colluding to try and take him down.

He also showed himself to be a petty clown and an utter embarrassment that failed to lead effectively during the most important moments of his presidency.

Thanks for the good that happened during his presidency, but he's a walking loser in 2024 and for the good of the country he needs to not run. He will never re-earn the political coalition he enjoyed in 2016 and 2020 again. Too many people are forever turned off.

I'm fully confident he could win the GOP primary, but that would just ensure 4 more years of Dem control. No thanks.

Its not about whether the media will throw everything but the kitchen sink at Desantis. Its a given they will. Its how Desantis will react to it that's gotten people hopeful the Rep party will move on from Trump. He'll fight just like Trump did...but with smarts and by outmaneuvering them, rather than incoherent tweets that play right into their hands.

If DeSantis if the GOP nominee in '24, it's his to lose. There's no way Biden, much less Kamala, stands a chance against him. He'll have a good 8 years.

It's not that nobody has the balls, it's that anyone who does will be removed from his life while he doesn't listen to them. He surrounds himself with yes-men and in this situation anyone else would gladly keep their mouth shut because they'll want his money. Election season is hiring season for campaign stooge lifers. They don't really care who they're working for so long as the checks clear. Once that candidate is out, they hop to another.

I too was/still am frustrated Trump just couldn't muster the discipline to avoid giving the libs ammunition. Yes, of course the media was against him but all the more reason to at least try and be smart.

I think Trump will run in 24. A guy at work is convinced Trump won't have DeSantis as VP because DeSantis would outshine Trump and it would make him jealous. Jealous of his looks, youth, etc. I don't see that happening as Trump has a lot more charisma than DeSantis and knows it. I'm a Ted Cruz supporter, and had hoped he'd run in 24, but lately I have given up on him ever becoming president.

This can basically be said about every liberal. Sick in the head with a never ending network enabling their continued insanity. You can not be a mentally stable person and see the Democrat agenda as beneficial for this country.

Oh there absolutely are liberals that are not mentally stable. I'm not sure why deflecting to that topic has anything to do with Trump and his mental health. Does it change Trump's mental health?

Dems policies are heavily researched and why I'm a lib (along with being a Christian). That said, I don't expect you to agree

Deflecting to that topic is relevant because anyone the Democrats nominate for President will be mentally ill in one form or fashion. The true believers suffer from delusion and the power hungry are sociopaths.

There are no liberal policy positions that are culturally or fiscally sustainable, so I'm not sure how credible any research that validated those policy positions is.
