I remember going to the National Association of Black MBA Conference many years ago as a recruiter. About 30% of the attendees were Asian.
It's certainly not prime hunting ground for a white guy to look for a job but there are a lot of hiring managers there who are hiring and many just want good people. Definitely need to handle things the right way though, for instance make sure the focus of conversation is that you are there because you are so interested in Company X and saw they would be there. Understand you will get some people who will be annoyed with you or brush you off completely as well.
It's amazing how the worm has turned. Thomas Sowell has often talked about how as a minority who went to Harvard before Affirmative Action was a thing he got massive respect from his peers and they knew he was one of the smartest guys around because they knew he had to get there over a lot of obstacles. Over time after AA took hold it was the complete opposite, people assumed he was a quota hire and didn't respect him.
Now you are going to see the same thing. If you are a white male who goes to an elite school or is a doctor you have to be significantly stronger than a minority or woman candidate. So the natural inclination is going to be to hire the white male over time.
It's kind of like how sexual harassment overkill has actually hurt women. Many male managers are concerned about mentoring a young bright female because if they do it can be construed the wrong way or it is simply too complicated when it comes to inviting them out for lunch or drinks, talking to them in their office alone, etc.
Amazes me that more people don't understand the natural results of these moronic liberal policies, they just live in a dream world that human nature will change.
