Have you gone in to get tested for the antibodies later? Just wondering if everyone vaccinated assumes they have the antibodies or they've gone back in to confirm.

FYI, do not rely on tests from a blood donation to determine antibody presence from the vaccine. The huge number of antibodies circulating in the several weeks after a significant infection is what is needed to donate so they set the "positive" threshold very high.
Places like Quest or other freestanding lab places (along with a lot of clinics) have antibody testing available which can detect the long-term circulating antibodies in the number expected following a vaccine or prior infection. Unless it is medically necessary, you'll likely end up paying for it yourself. I think the Quest one runs around $125.
I don't care, I only got the shot a couple of weeks back because we (fed) we're told if vaccinated masks wouldn't be required at work. Literally two weeks later they changed that policy and the idea of working in my office has been further delayed. I'm now looking to leave federal service even though I have 16 years in towards retirement.Muy said:

That looked like a really good trip as we were tracking your movements.bthotugigem05 said:
Vaccinated, haven't been tested for antibodies, don't really care too much. Got the vaccine so I could get back out on the road, visiting Iceland earlier in the year when nobody else was there was worth all of the 5G.

I've been vaxxed and everytime I pass by a government building I involuntarily click my heels, yell "Hail supreme leader Biden", and salute.
Very strange

Study in Singapore just came out and apparently 75% of those testing positive now have been vaccinated. My guess is that even with the vaccine, you can not only catch the virus but develop antibodies from that as well.

This is actually a great question.
The vast majority of vaccinated people I talked to never got an antibody test. Usually because they got a few neg PCR tests and early on you basically had to donate blood for a free antibody test. Once vaccinated, few care about knowing bc the media NEVER talks about the nucleocapsid protein they might have.
I think there is also a stigma for many where ignorance is bliss. Perhaps they had a mild case, but they don't want to confirm they could be counted in the same group as MAGA hat wearing super spreaders.
The important take away is that of the 10s of millions of people who were naturally infected with no record or knowledge, many made their way into early study groups as "vaccinated, no prior infection". So vaccines were scoring points with naturally immune patients who got boosted, which greatly overstated their performance. That's why as newer serology studies eliminate those vaccinated people with the nucleocapsid protein, we are seeing lower performance overall in those new groups with ONLY the vaccine spike protein.
In summary, natural immunity is proving to bemore effective and durable against the virus and variants. EVERYONE should want to know if they are blessed with the N-Protein and increased memory t-cells.

I agree with this. If the vaccine lessens your symptoms, but your natural response to the actual virus teaches your body how to fight it then sign me up for the COVID party now.Quote:
I'd like to actually catch delta variant and get it over with and hopefully that would juice up my immune response even more for a long time.
