I agree his comment was dumb but it hasn't become "fashionable to bash" the military. The military has earned every ounce of criticism they've gotten here. And this is coming from someone very close to an officer Owlagdad wants to eff.

True. And besides, the criticism is directed at the politicized brass close to the politicos in DC. The times in American history when that bunch was less than stellar are not even that rare. Doubt there is any real military-bashing sentiment per-se. Talk to active people about how upper command is ignoring logistical shortfalls and real issues while blabbing about sensitivity training.

The military couldn't succeed in Vietnam, Afghanistan, so they have a snowballs chance in hell with another Vietnam style war in the USA. That guy can eat **** and die and anyone supporting that thinking.
