I would also be very tempted to vandalize the property or put sugar in the gas tank and slash tires of any Dr. peddling this stuff. Wear a mask and park 1/4 mi away...very easy.

A lot of docs on the state medical boards and in charge of medical organizations are going woke too. Liberals are attracted to positions where they can affect policy. I see it in a lot of BS the medical journals I receive and societies including the American Medical Association. As mentioned before, it is a cancer.

Agreed, but the doctor who gets the complaint will probably be very hesitant to do it again with another patient.

Opposite of what the public may think of docs, there are actually some very liberal fields in medicine. Pediatrics, obgyn, infectious disease, and oncology tend to lean very very liberal in contrast to surgeons, anesthesiologists, and radiologists

Troll? Any child doctor pushing this evil sh** should be tuned up. A malfunctioning car or flat tires should be the least of his or her worries.

A lot of responses that make me feel like I'm not the crazy one, good.

I've got beef with their new policies/pushing it, but even more so the fact that every doctor in town has sold out. Can't say I blame them for taking the payday, but I'm not sure there are any primary physicians that aren't part of Cook, Texas Healthcare Resources, Baylor, Acclaim, WelMed, or Texas Health Care in town, which leaves me with limited options.

Surely someone could open a peds practice in Fort Worth, advertise as an independent "No BS" practice, and have a full book in a matter of days...

Can you post an image of the letter? Have twin 9month olds that also go to a Cook Children's pediatrician and haven't seen anything about this. Also which location?

A neighbor who goes to a different Dr. in the same office showed it to my wife. I haven't got anything in the mail and we haven't been since the spring.

Thanks. I'll keep an eye for weird BS like this going forward. My girls are still too young for this to matter and they need some of the more specialized stuff so it's beneficial to keep everything in network for now.

Will definitely change pediatricians as they get older if I see any of this crap.

This thread was on my mind this morning when I read that the American Bookseller's Association has made a LONG apology for including a book in the promo box they send to booksellers each month. I'm posting it below.

My heart goes out to all those poor booksellers who experience "violence and pain" from opening a darned box.
Of course, after reading the apology, my immediate response was to go to Amazon and order the book: Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters

Was very interested to read the first Amazon review of the book, written by an LGBT+. It says in part:

Many on the left either have no idea what is going on, or they are blinded by genderist ideologues who have captured the conversation with BIG MONEY support ultimately coming from the gender clinics, hormone manufacturers, and pornography empires who want all the bodies and eyeballs they can get. On the11thhourblog, you can follow the money powering the insidious marketing campaign. These big dollar interests, disguised as a civil rights movement, have corrupted LGBT organizations, the ACLU, the Dems, the academy, feminism, the liberal media, healthcare professionals and more. This left-leaning LGBT person could not be more pleased with Shrier's compassionate, factual and balanced book. Someone who actually cares enough about young girls to stick her neck way out there in this era of unreason.

Lest we forget, ALWAYS FOLLOW THE MONEY.

The apology:

The American Booksellers Association received backlash online after including the paperback edition of Regnery's Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters in the July White Box mailing, along with a promotional sales sheet. The book has been criticized as transphobic, and is the source of other controversies, including complaints from Amazon employees, two of whom resigned in protest over the company selling it.
In a statement posted to Twitter Wednesday afternoon, the ABA wrote "An anti-trans book was included in our July mailing to members. This is a serious, violent incident that goes against ABA's ends policies, values, and everything we believe and support. It is inexcusable.
"We apologize to our trans members and to the trans community for this terrible incident and the pain we caused them. We also apologize to the LGBTQIA+ community at large, and to our bookselling community.
"Apologies are not enough. We've begun addressing this today and are committed to engaging in the critical dialogue needed to inform concrete steps to address the harm we caused. Those steps will be shared in the next three weeks."
ABA ceo Allison Hill sent a statement to members Wednesday night, which also apologizes for a July 7 incident in which the ABA posted the cover of a conservative Candace Owens' book instead of the intended cover of BLACKOUT by Dhonielle Clayton, Tiffany D. Jackson, Nic Stone, Angie Thomas, Ashley Woodfolk, and Nicola Yoon. It reads, "These were egregious, harmful acts that caused violence and pain. One negligent, irresponsible, and racist; the other negligent, irresponsible, and transphobic. (The latter was not a free speech decision.) I am working with our team to determine the root cause as well as the steps ABA needs to take to be held accountable and to make changes. It is the next actions I take and that the ABA team takes that are critical now.
"The process to inform those steps will include listening to impacted members; conferring with members of ABA's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee; institutionalizing more of our diversity, equity, and inclusion work; revising our internal procedures and checks and balances; discussing with our team the impact of this violence on our members and our colleagues; changing the submission, vetting, and distribution process for the box mailing program; automating some of our online content to eliminate unconscious bias; reviewing all of our programs and communication; and more. Though we know the harm these actions caused is obvious to those impacted and many others, we will also share resources that speak to why these acts are violent."
The ABA Board of Directors also sent a statement to members that they are "angry and horrified by two equally harmful actions of the organization." It reads: "These incidents harmed booksellers, ABA board members, and ABA staff who identify as LGBTQIA+ and/or BIPOC, as well as the wider community. They also added to a toxic culture overall.
"We are not the ABA of two years ago. These actions are antithetical to the values we are working to promote in our organization under the strong leadership of our CEO, Allison Hill, and COO, Joy Dallanegra-Sanger. This is not acceptable behavior and goes against the bylaws changes instituted last year.
"This is evidence of systemic problems, and we support the staff and will work to do what's necessary to root out institutional failures and biases."
The ABA did not immediately respond to requests for comment on its submission process.

Dr. Danica Jordan in Weatherford, if you are wanting to use insurance. Fowler is around $100 a visit though, so reasonable.

Raine/Harris/Dao/Masters is one in Arlington Cook's Pediatrics, they're part of the Cook's but only the physician's network and they aren't "woke" like the OP's docs, I know personally that they're good people.

We were just there last week for a well visit and didn't see anything and this topic was not brought up by our Dr.

We went for a sick visit last week and it wasn't brought up. Maybe it's just the one doctor in the group (so far). Hopefully.

Cook's sucks. You can diagnose your kid as good as any of them by using Google. Their doctors are the equivalent to "parts changers" at car dealer. Find a new Doctor. One not part of a large corporation or conglomerate.
