Took my girls to the range yesterday to shoot some .22's and see if my new AR pistol cycles. I also have a friend that reloads so I give him all the brass I collect.

There was about twice as much cases before I started but you can only reload brass so I threw the steel away

The .223/5.56 pile is the big one in the bottom center

Reloading has been terrible. The limiting factor is primers and powder. I haven't seen primers in the wild in over 6 months.

It makes sense though why sell components when you are 6 months to a year behind on ammo

So far the leftist enemies have had zero luck this year doing anything to 'assault rifle' ownership other than write some scary articles in the NYT. And yes the ATF is making their threats.

But the AR15 is here to stay. Way too many of them out there to do anything about it. It is basically the new 22 rifle.

Adjusted for inflation, match grade 7.62x51mm would only cost $1.05 per round today. Ammo neds to be added to the CPI formula to get a better appreciation of inflation in 2021.

The AR platform is ridiculously popular. Almost absurdly so. I think it's odd partly because the DI vs. GI market share should be reversed, but I also thought Betamax was way better than VHS so whatever.

My theory on ammo is

x + 1

x= the amount of ammo I have


And agreed, I don't shoot near like I used too. About 1.5 years ago my wife learned she really liked going to the range and really like to shoot my .45, sad times
