Holy smokes. Anyone see Al Gore on CNN tonight? Puts trumps makeup artist to shame.

"You would need to be eating about 20 to 50 milligrams of beta-carotenes per day for a few weeks to raise your levels enough to see skin discoloration," says Dr. Piliang. "One medium carrot has about 4 milligrams of beta-carotene in it. So if you're eating 10 carrots a day for a few weeks you could develop it."

When I was born, my sister was eight and had severe eye issues so the doctors told my Mom to feed me carrots as much as possible, until my (true story) earlobes turned orange. So she did so.FrioAg 00 said:aggiehawg said:Eating too many carrots.TexAgBolter said:Quote:

I know a few people who turned themselves orange like that while on a juicing diet, using lots of carrots

I also have a genetic eye disease. It is called Fuches Corneal dystrophy. It is the leading cause of cornea transplants. I just had my third transplant The first one rejected. Love carrots and eat them all the time. They did not help my eyes either.aggiehawg said:When I was born, my sister was eight and had severe eye issues so the doctors told my Mom to feed me carrots as much as possible, until my (true story) earlobes turned orange. Guess what? Our eye disease is genetic. Carrots are very healthy. Sadly they don't change DNA. I will still go blind if I live long enough.

That's true and he's made millions off it.
Sorry to hear that. I am facing a cornea transplant at some point as well. Not looking forward to that day.2aggiesmom said:I also have a genetic eye disease. It is called Fuches Corneal dystrophy.
