That's what I'm wondering. If three people tie for first, there is no second or third place finisher. If two finish second, there would be no third. This is weird on multiple levels.

A Tonya Harding-type event or a parent of one of the actual girls who spent countless hours training for these events will bring this to a head. It's a shame, but I don't see women/girls involved in these competitions standing by much longer while men compete against them under false pretenses or protective parents of one of these girls lets it happen after years of time, money, and effort to get their daughters to compete at a high level in any sport.

It's a shame this is happening at all and I guarantee one of the girls or parents are going to snap soon. One of my daughters is very athletic and the way some of the team parents react to their games at an elementary school level makes me fear for how they might react if a trans girl stroll out onto the soccer field, basketball court, etc and starts dominating. If they don't go after the trans kid, the trans kid's parents are likely to get the wrath of one of these parents and it won't turn out well for anyone.
