When you legally change your name, your debt doesn't go away magically.
They would handle it the same as any other name change. Debt doesn't go away when you get married or divorced after all. Likewise in the odd scenario where your SSN changes.

Legally changing your name doesn't mean you are somehow a brand new person that didn't exist before. My wife's student loans didn't disappear when she changed her last name after our wedding
