A cops negligence resulted in a man dying under his knee. He's going to jail for a long time. This is good.
Sorry but there is no good from this incident. Libs going to be libs and make everything racial. Another case showing police officers it is ok to resist arrest.

Imo, the only good thing to come out of this is a bad cop is off the street.

I wish this incident would lead to Congress passing some police reform, but im not optimistic.

Imo, the good thing is that cops are getting a good look at your Amerika. There will be fewer good cops going forward because they don't want you and your ilk threatening to burn a city down if a cop is not sacrificed.

LOL. I have never protested, burned anything, threatened to burn anything. I am a back the blue guy. But thats the good cops. I want the bad cops off the street.

Well I guess you are very bright and smart. So here is an idea... why don't you man up and go be a cop and fix all the issues? Unless you have ever worn a uniform or a badge you are not anymore qualified to make judgments than criticizing how a pilot flies an airplane.
I will challenge you to contact your local law enforcement agency and request a ride along for a couple of weeks with one of these guys you think are " not so bright".
Bet you won't.

The police officers that don't murder people, or cover up for other cops that do murder people don't have anything to worry about. Essentially, any police officer that quits over this is self identifying as a dirty criminal cop.

You just self identified as an ignorant person.

Congress can't pass police reform. Is that your level of civics knowledge? No wonder you voted for Biden and had no concept of how detrimental that decision was, actually believing it was a decision in isolation.

And no he wasn't a bad cop. He did his job.

Cops should quit because this one in particular got held accountable for his actions?

No, cops are not above the law and should be held accountable for misconduct just like the rest of society. And they should not be granted qualified immunity. Do things the right way or choose another profession.

Most cops are good, by the way.
And another person who doesn't understand what qualified immunity is.

Imo, if the very few bad cops quit , thats a good thing. Most cops are good, imo. We just need to get rid of the bad ones and train the good ones better.

The more we talk about defunding and the more we talk about removing qualified immunity, the more rational cops that will leave. We'll end up with more born-to-lose types as cops.

Man i agree with the defund the police stuff. Thats the dumbest idea ever.
Yet you vote for the leaders who support it...or at least stick up for the ones calling for it.

Lie. I have never heard President Biden say he favored defunding the police.

You still think Biden has an active role in decision making? Bless your heart...

You can't help me because I don't need help. I understand the legal system, our government, and the interconnected relationships among them all. That's probably because I'm an attorney. Meanwhile, you're advocating for the U.S. Congress to pass sweeping police reform.

No, I don't think he was a bad cop because of this. I think he did what he was trained to do.

Its a job that exists to pay people with a D+ maybe C- level of competence (like all other local government jobs). Its not like they have a choice between anesthesiology and police work.

There are "bad" people in all manners of life. Bad Aggies, bad salesman, bad pilots, bad soldiers, bad mothers, bad dads, etc etc. The only perfect person we had on this earth was crucified by a bunch of bad people and a bad ruler or politician.
The vast majority of LEO's are damn good people who truly do what they do to help society. They damn sure don't do it for fame or money.
We are slowly eroding that away with BS as we witnessed today. There are some potential future good cops out there who made the decision today to pursue a different career.
That will only get worse and the quality of officers will only decline.

So you think the only issue here is with the police? I am not justifying Chauvin's behavior but him "being off the street" does nothing for what is coming to certain cities in this country. Resisting arrest is not a consideration now for escalation in the use of force by a polic officer? Look at who the Democrats portray as heroes. They are thugs. This case only empowered the path forward to prosecute every police officer that is discourteous. Maybe I am just seeing this as "glass half full" but punishing Chauvin will only be a footnote.

And THIS attitude is why good people are leaving in record numbers. It isn't worth it.

There's a lot of us who can do other things. And we will.
