Almost certainly unrelated, but for the past week fighter jets have been speeding over our area at relatively low altitude here in East Tennessee. While it is cool to see 3-4 pairs of fighter jets speeding overhead in rapid succession, I gotta admit it is also a little unnerving.

OP, serious question, I haven't ever followed the DEFCON levels and actually clicked on this thread thinking we were talking about Def Comedy Jam 3. How rare is it for us to be at DEFCON 3? When was the last time we were at this level?

We've always faught proxy wars against USSR, not directly. Putting destroyers in the black sea seems really dumb since it's actually Russia on the other side.

I could absolutely see Biden's handlers using him as a pawn to start another conflict. Enriches the MIC, while also distracting the populace from all the domestic legislation they want to ram through
