such bull***** My son is class of 24 and his last summer was also. It is so sad to see TAMU so gutless with this covid bull***** You're telling me you can have students on campus and going to school but not coming during the summer for NSC??

His sucked, btw. You can't replicate the experience sitting in front of a damn computer.

Huge waste of time, show up sit in rudder for 3 hours, go to Comp Sci lab register for classes, walk to the quad depot and get uniforms

The school that commissioned more officers in WWII than any of the service academies is now being run by irrationally-afraid cowards.

Texas Covid numbers continue to decline while vaccination rates continue to increase.

I know 4 people younger than 30 that got the jab this week alone.

I feel so bad for current students. I'd be tempted to withdraw and work full time until all these covid restrictions are lifted, then re-enroll. Ofcourse, we don't know if it will ever be the same. Such a beating.

It is almost like the vaccine didn't exist.

Visit campus around the same time, show your kid around, and participate in the necessary virtual NSC events such as registration.

You meet your advisor, register, and get a student ID. Outside of that, it's just indoctrination part 1 (and I'm not talking the good kind involving a&m traditions).

we paid the same thing last summer for my son's as usual. Only money they didn't make was dorms/meals.

we checked on that last year since my son was a fish. Nope. You leave, you lose your spot. You're free to reapply if you wish.

They know they have you by the short hairs and they simply don't give a damn. It's really sad what the campus is this year. The flag room has stickers all over the couches saying "DONT SIT HERE". It's completely asinine.

Why would I stand with Karens?

Then offer both. Those who want to be virtual can schedule virtually. Those events can be done live and virtual at the same time. It does not have to be one way.

i was pretty sad to visit tamu yesterday and see it the way it is. the fact that sully is fenced off and there was a girl sitting at the front of evans library telling people to wear a face covering is ridiculous.

I have never made any statement on the vaccine. I think it is a good idea.

I think A&M cares about costs because of "not another dime."

Maybe, but it does give an excited incoming fish opportunity to walk campus, meet people, go hang out in the evenings and see some friends already there. It is also the first step for this class and already doing things virtually does not give a good signal to what is to come.

Yup. I was down there seeing my son a couple times this fall on a Friday and the campus was a ghost town, except for the idiots riding a bike around wearing a ****ing mask.

The flag room made me sad, to be honest. I have so many memories of sitting in there, meeting people, just the whole college thing. Stickers on the couches saying don't sit here. We have lost our mind.


My son did the corps and that was and has been a lifesaver. Not the same but still a great experience with friends and activities and something to be a part of.
