And (who could have predicted this) they lost the most in their key demographic - dudes:

So only 37.6% of Americans are white supremacists'. I've been told it was closer to 50%. Sounds like good news to me!

Didn't watch a single game of any kind last year. Now that Mond is gone, I may watch Ag FB again, or may just listen on radio. Dave E is an Aggie treasure.

I sure hate to send any money ESPNs way however so may just leave my cable cut.

This is pretty much me as well and they are trying desperately to screw up college football as well.

It's a big turn off for me, Dog! SJW'ing players and masks are beyond the pale. I only watch games aggie teams are involved in and have to bite my lip because of the SJW messages on masks, jerseys, fattoos, and shoes etc. Keep it to yourself and play. Don't irritate a potential paying customer, because I don't watch you to be lectured to with your one word slogans. I don't need it, and will turn it off if I see it.

Would a mask that had "STFU & Play" offend anyone? If so, stow your messages.

Never gave a damn about nba. NFL lost me years ago and if MLB bends the knee and moves away from Atlanta I'll stop watching that too. Don't need it. Haven't bought a Gillette or p&g product since that woke commercial. I enjoy local minor league bb and college football. Although haven't been to an a&m game since curry and the not another dime movement. Don't plan to anytime soon. Would rather give my money to better causes. Liberal A&M gets nada. The more woke something is the more I tune out.

I've done a lot more fishing. Between social justice and keeping people away because of the cold, I just lost interest.

Asked the A&M AD to let me know which sports will continue their pregame social justice messaging/protests next year, so I will know how to allocate my season ticket funding. Awaiting a reply.

I have become a big fan of the auto auctions - Barrett-Jackson & Mecum. Zero SJW or #woke messaging either during the show or by any of the advertisers.

I don't think people that turned off the tv are going to come back to sports. Its just too eye opening what you can do with your weekend when you realize your old hobby was just sitting on the couch. People have taken up other hobbies and gotten outside more.

I mean, that's good, I haven't watched any sports in a decade, but sports fans are a pretty conservative group overall it seems and this means that 2/3 of even that group will accept all the bull**** in order to keep the entertainment coming.

In other words, I still don't think there will be any significant resistance to the cultural and political revolution in progress, just a shrug and "oh well, that's just the way it is now."

We'll see..

That was it for me. Cuban's message to me: "I really don't care what is important to you."

Message received.

among the biggest tools in pro sports now - and he is in denial that viewership is down because of the SJW crap. Direct correlation to the lowest ratings in years - but he can keep collecting his China money as long as he bends a knee to them

Anecdotal to only me... but I watched slightly less NFL til the GOAT wrecked the playoffs. Then the postseason was must see TV. Gave up on the Texans and the rest. Not worth my time. Watched slightly less MLB too after the first few weeks of the late season was over. Never watched NBA or NCAA this year because basketball is a trash sport. Had the Aggie men been any good I might have paid more attention. Let's face it, WNCAA is unwatchable but i caught a few minutes of the Lady Ags tourney games here and there. Watched about the same amount of NASCAR, which has been trailing off the last few years.

My viewing habits of bass fishing and other fishing-related shows has gone way up though!

Conclusion: Covid scamdemic and SJW nonsense definitely turned me off from sports and I found time to fill the hours with other useful activities with the family outside of Aggie football.

NFL salary cap went down this year.

Keep hurting them where they actually care and this will all go away.
it went down because decrease in attendance at games due to COVID.

they cap is going to sky rocket next year and moving forward.

the kneeling, etc. has hurt NFL ratings, but the decrease in NFL salary cap for 2021 is 100% related to lock downs

The thing is, this won't really impact the LeBron's of the world that much. The established stars on the back end of their careers won't really have to deal with the implications.

But the next generation of stars and those who haven't even become professionals yet are the ones who will have to deal with slicing up a revenue pie which is smaller than it should have been.

Yep. Huge sports fan. Football, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, tennis, golf, UFC, and more... I wonder why I'm divorced...

Now, I will watch football, soccer, ncaa tourney and other things that catch my attention, but I don't watch near as much. And I don't miss it.

It will get worse. I can't believe Fernando Tavis, Jr. just got a $360m contract to play baseball the next 10 years or so... Who watches baseball anymore? How is that contract possible?

Even among Dems and independents, the SJW stuff turned more viewers off than on, which is encouraging.

Sports programming providers dgaf if they lose viewers. individuals in leadership will be worth a mere billion instead of two billion? Meh...either way they'll still fly private to Nantucket for the weekend. The real payoff is the adoring reception at dinner parties and glowing coverage in urbane leftist media outlets. That the **** they crave that money can't buy

Frist year I have not watched and entire NFL game (minus the SB) start to finish, a single NBA game, or a single NCAA tournament game. Didn't even know Houston was doing as well as they are or that Baylor was a 1 seed until the other day?

Only this I really look forward to are CFB games, and those are on thin ice as it is.

Just don't really miss any of it

I have three kids playing sports in a private Christian school where we don't have any of that marxist foolishness. So, for the next 7 years, I don't really have much incentive to even watch much in the way of college sports. If college teams are making asses out of themselves, I'll drop them and never look back (just like I did with pro sports).

My dad was a college basketball player, one son played college baseball and today my youngest son is signing his letter of intent to play college golf. We're sports people. We love football so we watched college and NFL. Cussed at the TV some but watched. Started watching NHL to go with watching PGA Tour, KF Tour, European Tour and LPGA Tour golf. Did not watch a pitch of MLB last year and will not this year. They were losing me over things other than the SJW but that made my decision easy.

Yet another reason I'm pretty much done with professional sports. I getting tired of being told that I'm privileged over guys who are making millions, tens of millions, and even hundreds of millions of dollars.

I wouldn't mind some of that oppression they are experiencing.

Same here, and I skipped the Super Bowl for the 3rd year in a row. I no longer watch the NBA.

If colleges follow the same path as professional athletes, I'll cancel my season tickets and stop watching them too.

An issue that nobody seems to acknowledge is that spectator sports have another function in our society besides entertainment. They give people who otherwise have nothing in common something to share, a way to relate to each other. After they destroy it, there won't be any more "Well ____ is a woke liberal SJW, but he's a fan of ____ so he's OK in my book." People will fall back on their other "identity groups" (race, political party, etc.) and have even less reason to associate outside their group.

Music to the ears of Democrats.

People really want to watch sports when it involves guys they like or feel some type of at least minimal connection to. They'll still watch it if they don't really know anything about the athletes. But when the athletes are completely unlikeable and exhibit b****made traits, it is going to turn off many many viewers. I could not care less about the Astros...Never thought I'd be able to say that but here we are. Normally I have the itch and am glued to opening day and beyond. Rockets and Texans? Don't make me laugh...their planes could go down and I wouldn't care (not saying I wish for this...I just wouldn't fake caring when so many more noble and decent people die in this country each day).

The only time I have watched any sports this year is to bet on them like horses. But it's still not as entertaining as sports betting used to be because I don't really care about the actual sport at all.

UFC is the only sport outside of Aggie FB (and even that isn't the same for me anymore) that I really enjoy...and I actually admire most of the athletes. They're manly, not a bunch of whiny b****tches and the owner and athletes aren't afraid to get cancelled for liking Trump, or Goya, or whoever they want to like.
