How long do you want to ignore this user?
You should do a RECAP at end of each day.
Also, if this were a normal case, it would take what... two weeks at most? Expectations on length of this trial?

This is going to be a crazy trial. Looking forward to some good discussion here.
edit: I wonder how many *******s are hanging around taking down plate numbers & taking pics of everyone entering the area to park. I would be freaked out if a juror.

Early on Judge Cahill took the extra precautions to change all of the voir dire procedures for the jury selection due to the massive pre-trial publicity. Larger than usual panel, over 300, set aside three weeks for jury selection, voir dire was done one by one with strikes and challenges being done on the spot, and he had three alternates selected instead of the normal two.Cassius said:

Jury selection was already underway and seven jurors had been seated when the City announced the 27 million dollar settlement with the Floyd family. Judge Cahill was then obligated to re-contact those 7 jurors to assess whether they could remain impartial and apply the presumption of innocence to Chauvin after hearing of the settlement. Two jurors backed out.

The Dems have done everything possible to poison it (most notably the city very loudly and publicly saying he's guilty by agreeing to a an unprecedented huge settlement before the criminal trial) and get that guilty verdict they desperately need because now that they are in power again, riots in all major cities are undesirable now

This is probably this younger generations OJ trial insofar as there is a block of people that want a certain outcome no matter what the facts are, and that is largely split along racial lines with the rabid left being the outliers, so to speak.
I told my wife the same thing. This isn't justice it's pandering to mob emotions.
May justice be served and the evidence be clear.

Remember, when the 15th potential juror was passed (the third alternate) Cahill did not dismiss the rest of the jury panel, as is customary. So if some jurors don't show up today and they don't have 12 and 2 alternates, jury services will pick up where they left off and summon panel members for afternoon jury selection. That appears to be Cahill's contingency plan.
We'll see just how broken our system is in this one. The evidence has been clear for a while - Floyd wasn't murdered.
