Unfortunately the basic actions are going to convince most people. Black person alive --->police on neck--->Black person dead. End of story and without context the video says the same story.

IT field and recently laid off, so nothing better to do than follow this while working on prospects. So an interested party but particularly interested in seeing true justice. I don't care about Floyd or Chauvin and think the BLM stuff is an overreaction for a political purpose. I just want to see the facts prevail.

Ha, okay. Someone earlier in the thread said "am I the only one rooting for the cop to walk scott free" but I'm the scary one.

Based on what I've seen I think it's manslaughter but I'm wide open to more evidence, particularly the medical professionals that I've said multiple times that I'm waiting to hear from. My mind isn't made up until I hear from the experts.

But yeah let me terrify you over the doofuses that have their mind made up and will only accept evidence that supports their view.

The medical experts will have to testify that it was the drugs that killed Floyd and that the timing of the knee on the neck was just coincidence.

Chauvin's knee was nowhere near Floyd's throat. There was zero possibility of it strangling him.

In the pictures where it could be seen, it also wasn't over the artery.

Also, the autopsies didn't find damage that would have been there if there if they had strangled Floyd or cut off the blood to the brain.

What they did find was an enlarged heart and obstructions of the arteries of up to 90% as well as serum concentrations of drugs in large amounts.

Did the police enlarge Floyd's heart or obstruct his arteries or inject the drugs in to him? I don't think so.

There was a recent dude last month or January in California but he was Asian and the cop was, I think, black so nobody cared. There was a white dude a couple years ago but I don't think it was his neck.

If the medical experts say, on record, that they believe it was the drugs and not the knee, and that the officers couldn't have reasonably done anything, then so be it.

"Worried about exited delirium or whatever" exculpatory evidence. The cops expressed concern for his safety. No ill intent.

"Ambulance is coming."

To the cops I think it would seem like he just didn't want to get in the car. Like he couldn't come to terms with the fact that he was getting arrested.

If you were to look at 5, 10 , or 100 of these cases with a person on drugs and they are generally non compliant when getting arrested and similar tactics are used, what did those videos look like?

ETA: From doing some searching for this, it appears that there is little differentiation in the news reports about the use of the knee on the neck like this which does not obstruct breathing or blood flow and choke holds done by putting one's arm around the neck to intentionally obstruct breathing or restrict blood flow to subdue the target.

It will come in anyway and if the jury believes the state was hiding it from them that's not good.

I've refrained from watching any videos of the incident until now with the body cams because I wanted to remain impartial (innocent until proven guilty). I don't see where the cops did anything wrong other than not putting him in the recovery position after he was unconscious.

Excited Delirium. I bet the officers were concerned about Floyd experiencing it. Thats why they waited for the ambulance. Imagine they put him in the back of the squad car and Floyd goes down during transport? These guys are in an obviously difficult spot.

They are playing this over and over and over again from every angle so the jury gets to see him die multiple times. Seems like an emotional plea.

Someone earlier in the thread (a page or two back) said that Megyn Kelly said that hooping was a slang term for doing drugs. Also, urban dictionary says that it basically means "smuggling drugs or something else" up your butt.

I don't see any other purpose for showing all 4 body cams. They show the same thing.
