CNN is unwatchable. And I voted for Biden. They are setting this country up to burn if he gets off on even one charge by acting like this is such a slam dunk. It isn't.

My concern as I watch the commentary - the prosecution is putting on an emotional case, where the Defendant has been over-charged b/c public pressure requires it. They know they cannot prove the case (at least not in a vacuum), so they are putting this one on the jury. They will be able to say, "look, we put forth the horrific facts of this case and the jury ignored us." That allows the politicians to say they tried. It's going to be blamed on the jury if they lose - and the jurors likely know this.
Andrew Branca has promised to do an analysis of the potential jury instructions this weekend. That should be very interesting in light of how the state is trying this case.

I just turned on CourtTV and I don't know what they were saying before, but the defense attorneys they just had on said the prosecution was using some of these witnesses as "human props." One said it seemed inappropriate to put young kids through this testimony when it was unnecessary.

Just curious but what is the relevance of the family members testifying unless they were at the scene of the incident?

Maybe this isn't particularly relevant to the trial, but was it in fact a bad bill? Any idea where Floyd got it?

CourtTv is thinking the same. I think he'll be found guilty for two reasons. One, there is absolutely no way he gets a fair trial there. Two, they know the city will burn to the ground if he's found not guilty. I think it'll burn regardless though.

If the bill was authentic, I don't see why Floyd would have any issue going inside to clear it up with the manager?

What was the relevance of a 9 year old testifying to the same things as other witnesses? That's not the biggest consideration here for the prosecution.

If only this country had an executive who might be able/willing (either?) to respond if in fact mass riots/arson break out over a ridiculous court case. In fact, we might expect such to lead to...calls to confiscate your AR.

Our senile in chief surely appreciates your support from Georgia though!

Is there a list of witnesses published anywhere, or do we find out when they're called up? I'm honestly only interested in actual expert opinions and facts. These emotional pleas are exhausting to watch.

Crazy that an untrained 18 year old took a fake bill knowing it was fake. Then they call out Floyd on it and he refuses to go in and easily settle this, finally cops are called. Even as an emotional, limp wristed juror with pre-conceived ideas, this screams "ISSUES" all over it.

Just like the MMA fighter. Floyd was an "entrepreneur" which means unemployed.

Based on the clerk's testimony, I don't think Floyd refused because I think he was tripping balls and physically COULDNT respond. But that's this armchair juror.

He was a bouncer at a club. Don't know if it was closed due to covid or not last May.

I assume that there are 12 members on this jury, how many have to find him guilty?

He moved to Minny to get a fresh start, remember? It is the ultimate redemption story. The word "Hero" gets thrown around too often these days, but I can't think of another one more fitting.

All of them. Unanimous verdict or a hung jury.

yes if not it will be a hung jury which is a mistrial and the trial is over and he can be tried again if the state wants to

Yes
Don't see any way then not guilty is an outcome. One of these jurors at least will find him guilty.

I don't see this being unanimous Not Guilty.

So they'll have to string along deliberations until the judge calls it. Which I also don't see happening since this trial is going to go on forever and the jurors will want out of there.

Same thing happened in the OJ trial. The "guilty" jurors saw there was no point in trying to win over the "not guilty" ones, wanted to go home badly, so they capitulated.

Maybe that's part of the reason for all these pointless witnesses. Make the trial as long as possible.

If the third degrees murder charge is the verdict, it might all be for naught depending on the state supreme court decision this summer in the Noor case.

I'm pretty sure that he was one of the two that was in the car with him afterwards when the police arrived at the scene.
