Dr. Miguelito Loveless: All you have to do is keep giving people something they want badly enough, give it to them for nothing, and you reduce them to passive, obedient children.
Antoinette: Shh.
Dr. Miguelito Loveless: You can make them do anything you want to. Anything in the world, they become so dependent on you.
Antoinette: Yes, Miguelito.

These stereotypes aren't helpful to anyone. You throw the baby out with the bath water with this sort of attitude.ttu_85 said:And buy lots of booze and cigarettesdoubledog said:It can pimp out your ride.jagvocate said:

Child hunger? I've never seen so many fat kids in my whole life. We've got more food than we can eat to the point of people calling obesity a national health crisis. No society in history has spent so much and produced so much to keep people fed. We practically feed the whole world. I'm so done with all the "just think of the children" emotional BS.BigOil said:These stereotypes aren't helpful to anyone. $1400 goes a very, very long way to mitigate child hunger, for example.

The organization linked above is one small example.
Moreover, much of that handout would eventually end up in the bank accounts of the 0.1% who know how to accumulate wealth. And then the 99.9% will complain about "greed" and clamor to their community organizers for more handouts on the basis of fairness. The cycle repeats again ad nauseam. Fools and their money are always parted, and right soon.Schu in Mizzou said:
$50,000 could be given to every single poor person in America and within 6 months 99.9% of those people will have wasted their money with nothing to show for it and still be poor.
