Look good for her for doing it but where was she on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday when people really needed this? This is mostly a calculated marketing plan that is going to benefit some people yes but there's nothing altruistic about it.
People all over Texas have been helping out their fellow neighbors and friends and family but don't need special recognition that they did. This is mostly political.
Of course it is mostly political. It is called smart politics. Picking low hanging fruit. Cruz could have made himself look awesome (to Texans at least). He was not very politically savvy this week.
Good lord, what do people not understand about politics? He'll, it's just common sense. If your wife calls you crying about a co-worker, you nod your head and say, "I'm sorry honey", "You are so much better than her" etc.... You may just be going through the motions, and she may even realize you're just going through the motions but you do it anyway.
Cruz's PR person should have had something planned out the moment the storm was in the forecast.
