Nobody said anything, and it felt great not hiding behind a useless mask. Definitely a Dear Diary post, but my point is that - while we should recognize and respect that others are living in fear still - it may actually benefit others if more people started going out and about without any masks and show these others they are living in a lie.

I go to Kroger 1-2 times a week every week and have never worn one. Typically there is about 50% compliance.

Ditto in our grocery store. Maybe one out of ten wearing any kind of mask. And the credit machines were down so it was cash only. What????? I thought we were supposed to be " contactless "?

Shows this whole thing is bull***** If you really believe this nonsense, the people running the store shut it down. Can't be contactless, we have to close. If you really believe this nonsense, the person is at the door making you have a mask.

I was turned away from a Twin Liquors a few days ago for no mask. I have generally been maskless the past six months and that was my first "incident".

Sad that educated people believe wearing a non-N95 mask does anything to stop the corona virus. They'll gladly put on multiple masks if the government ever tells them to............ Oh wait.

It's really cold where I live. I generally pull my mask/gaiter/balaclava over my mouth/nose upon EXITING an establishment.

I don't wear one anywhere. If there's push back and there seldom is I just take my business elsewhere.

Austin HEB 's have mask nazis stationed at entry doors to make sure you put the diaper on. Outside Austin, no.

Same, although work started requiring them a few weeks ago.

Really don't wear one in Rockport because no one cares. I wear one in Dallas in grocery stores to avoid ending up on the news. Might be different if I was in the suburbs but in Dallas proper we "believe in science in this house".

Telling someone to put a mask on can be dangerous.

I've never worn one. I always carry one and if asked I'll either wear it or take my business elsewhere but I get asked probably less than 5% of the time. Certain businesses never do (HEB and Lowe's being my most frequented).

The one time I refused was a late night trip to Wal-Mart for formula. I forgot a mask and so I told them I had a medical condition. They said sorry and let me go on.
