At games of chance, or games of reading other people, or teamwork, perhaps not, but if you are talking at the highest level of competition in a game of calculation and strategy the highest performers will tend to be male because males have a broader IQ distribution, such that at the extremes of high IQ the population is very heavily male. Now, add social aspects or other elements to the game and that changes. We all know how physical competition works: except for certain niche skills the males will perform better as a population. It's biology.

There are only 3 women listed in the top 100 world chess players. This is an outrage, we need to diversify with more women!!!

The average intelligence of women is the same as for men. But the deviation is larger for men. So there are a lot more male dumbasses and male geniuses. Successful chess players are at the high end of the curve where there are a lot more men then women.

Will this increase or decrease the amount of "normal fans" attending the games?

https://www.startribune.com/wnbas-layshia-clarendon-has-surgery-to-remove-breasts/600016731/

"WNBA's Layshia Clarendon has surgery to remove breasts

Liberty guard Layshia Clarendon, who identifies as transgender and nonbinary, announced on social media Friday that they had surgery to remove breast tissue.

"It's hard to put into words the feeling of seeing my chest for the first time free of breasts, seeing my chest the way I've always seen it, and feeling a sense of gender euphoria as opposed to gender dysphoria," Clarendon wrote on Instagram, along with a photo taken after the surgery. "Sighhhh...freedom... freedom at last."

Clarendon has been generally open about their identity but felt trepidation in sharing news of the operation due to "the amount of hate, myths & ignorance." Clarendon decided to share the photo because "I want Trans people to know and see that we've always existed & no one can erase us!"

No Rule 1. Please.

cornhole and pool are other examples that do not require strength. Yet men still dominate.
