I cut the innermost layer out of my double layer mask. It is infinitely more protective because I will occasionally wear it and I won't kill anyone for getting in my face about not wearing it.

I personally am glad about this.

It will allow me to easily identify those that comply for the sake of compliance (1 mask) and those who are true believers ( > 1 mask).

I don't pass judgement on high risk individuals taking necessary precautions, but those people are typically easy to identify because 2 of the most prevalent comorbidities are easily visible (age, obesity).

This helps me to determine if those staring at me in the grocery store are staring out of jealous wonderment for my rebellious spirit or in scornful disdain as I peruse the produce section sans mask.

Don't forget "there is no evidence that the virus prevents you from transmitting the virus" so even if you get vaccinated you have to wear your mask "for the sake of others". So make sure and be a good person and do what we say.

It was that "half the country" that elected the POTUS.

Is it double mask if they have a mask and a face shield?

I wonder how many mask layers it would take before "death's by mask asphyxiation" exceeded deaths caused by the "Virus from China"?

Can we just all get a bubble like bubble boy ? Then we would all be so safe.

How about people who are seriously at risk or scared be allowed to wear as many masks/face shields/gloves etc. as they want, or just stay isolated, and the rest of us be allowed to go back to normal???

I guarantee if I'm going around Lubbock and see someone wearing more than one mask, I will laugh out loud.

I'm not on campus anymore though so I doubt I'll see any. Maybe 1 or 2 at the most.

I do not feel like doing a deep dive into their findings and sources, but it seems like they cherry-picked scenarios to call masks effective, and then did a lab analysis saying more layers stopped droplets better.

I guess this will be the next suggestion:
