You clearly don't know how any of it works.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

The House can impeach for any reason at all. They could impeach a president for not liking hot dogs.

It means nothing except the democrats are starting 2021 by showing they're still partisan hacks that want to destroy our way of life.

There is zero chance the Senate convicts of anything.

He would if he could. He won't because he can't. That won't stop some of you from thinking he's holding it all back for his big 4-d chess reveal, kind of like evidence on how the election was stolen.

Trunp can run again so long as he is not convicted. One has to be impeached and convicted to never be able to hold public office again

If he had any he would have released it already. He's not exactly known for discretion.

First president in history to be impeached twice. Nice record.

I'm assuming the senate can still hold a trial after he leaves office. And if he is convicted he will lose the benefits of being a former president and will be unable to hold office again.

Post 1776, nice!

I mean if nothing else, people will remember that. As a kid, the only thing I knew about Andrew Johnson was that he was impeached.

Yes, they are talking about trying him after Biden takes office. At first they were going to wait after Biden's first 100 days, but now they're talking about getting it going immediately (according to Wall Street journal podcast I listened to last night).

This "unify" propaganda is terrifying. OP is promoting genocide of anyone that doesn't align perfectly with the Party on this site and it's unbelievable that its tolerated.

It is what happens when you serve concurrently with the first idiot speaker in history to be so self-absorbed that she staggers blindly forward, rendering the process of impeachment void on hokey charges while the true business of the people takes a backseat ... again.

Correct.
He has only been charged with a crime...
It will take 67 members of the Senate to convict, which, I totally think won't happen.
Can he run again... yes.
My question is, who would want another 4 years of this cluster f*** again???
IMO, the trump brand is dead and gone.

Apparently the House Dems violated every rule on impeachment there is. No hearings etc. If history is honest it will probably view the whole thing obvious political theater.

I don't like Trump, but this Congress has completely devalued the concept of impeachment. They could save a lot of effort and just put out a non-binding resolution that they don't like Trump. It would be just as meaningful without corrupting an important check on the executive branch.

Dem House could impeach him every week for a month and it wouldn't matter. Political theater.
