Do you think it is best to raise children by hand holding through adulthood. Or do you think there is a time for lessons learned the hard way to achieve the best long term outcome for said child? If the latter like most conservative families, then you should be fine with Texans seceding.GeorgiAg said:No, I think secession is dumb for anyone. I wouldn't want to live in an all red or all blue state outside of the United States. I don't like full-blown red policies and don't want to be green new deal/socialist/communist either.AgHunter2011 said:So you would vote yay if you lived in Texas? Or would vote in Georgia to allow Texas to secede peacefully?GeorgiAg said:
1. Texas secedes
2. Texas Dems and enough moderates are unhappy.
3. Texas Conservatives lose post secession election.
4. Texas becomes a sovereign blue nation.
5. US, without Texas, instantly becomes solid blue nation.
6. LOL
In your scenario your team comes out ahead in the end, so advocating for Texas to secede makes sense to you logically right?
You refuse to let Texans leave peacefully if they vote to do so and your only reason is you think it will back fire on conservatives and Texas ultimately becomes blue in the long term?
It sounds like you think you are morally superior to Texans wanting to secede, know what's best for them, and refuse to let them act on their own decisions.
Why does your opinion matter more than those wanting to peacefully leave?
Edit to add, even if Texas seceded that doesn't mean there would be sole conservative strict constitutionalism control over the people. The political left vs right would just shift away from corrupt governing bodies (hopefully).
